Try build.prop editor from play store..find ro.sf.lcd_density..change the 320 value to 300 or 280...or according to you

P.s. if that doesn't work... Use root explorer..go to system...longpress build.prop...open in text editor...find the ro.sf.lcd_density...change the value...then save...reboot you phone

My Nexus 4 is almost a year old and overseas set. The on/off button sometimes work and at other times, must press a few times to activate. Thinking of sending for repair. Has anyone repaired their set from those neighbourhood phone repair shops?

Buy power button switch / power side button from ebay (Total S$20/-)

Go through the guide to open the device from ifixit

Replace & njoy !

Thanks for the suggestion, but not technical enough to do this. Any one?

On the same thread, someone reported paying SGD$51 to get the power button fixed by LG Singapore.. Not that bad..if you want a proper repair without going through the hazard of opening the unit up .

I have 2 set of Nexus 4, one set used by wifey is having this power button issue..however we have moved on to Nexus 5, hesitating to repair it or not.. The Nexus 4 is a good phone serving us well on many aspect except the Camera which is really disappointed, from Android 4.3 onwards, the photo taking always go to wrong orientation ( taking it from Landscape, picture output is Portrait)..Also the autofocus is suck to the core...I rather want the Galaxy Nexus lower resolution but the zero lag shutter is fantastic.

Galaxy Nexus=> Could take pictures of moving F1 car...with fix focus trick..keep pressing the shutter button taking sharp photos..

Nexus 4=> Take the same moving F1 car..only catch the head or tail..never the full car in picture... People with energetic kids will hate this phone..

Nexus 5- Auto Wide balance is out...taking picture under CCF lighting yields pale output..
