Finally updated mine to Lollipop. There is no LTE option (only can choose 3G or 2G) under mobile network settings. Think the article is not true

Problem here is I tried to restore my old whatsapp chat to new phone, always after verifying, there is no prompt to restore from database.

Anyone here managed to restore old whatsapp chat from database of old phone?

It's not that the article is not true, just that it doesn't apply to us. The hardware only supported band 1, 2, and 4 as mentioned earlier. Even if you follow the instructions here to enable it ([REF] Mako hybrid modem collection [UPDATED:… | Google Nexus 4 | XDA Forums), it still won't work.

U need to copy over to the WhatsApp folder before opening the app. Otherwise, it will not detect the backup database. Uninstall it and reinstall again once the database is copy over.

Problem lies with I can't access the deeper part of the phone storage, the /sdcard/, used a Android to PC file manager and problem solved.

All these trouble to save some memories

Now have to wait for OTA for this new set

Yea, it got better, just a tiny bit, but still lose to
Kitkat by a mile or 2.

My Nexus 4 Softkeys (Home/Back/Recent) suddenly stopped working for no reason. Seems like a very common problem for Nexus 4 if you search "Nexus 4 Soft keys" but Google offers no support. This phone is quite disappointing as it only lasted slightly over a year.

Some guys mentioned it's due to faulty digitizer but why am I still able to unlock the camera and phone on the exact same Softkeys spot and also launch Google now?

Mine also failed last month after 2 years of using - faulty digitizer. Retire my nexus4 and got myself xiaomi note 4G.

FYI the nexus 4 has 3 very common issues known to mankind:

1. Sometimes lousy quality battery
2. Unresponsive power button (Have to replace the button for sure)
3. Non working soft keys. (No known fixes other than installing 3rd soft key apps or replace the whole LCD)
