ez link card uses NFC, not magnetic strip. magnetic cards are history way long ago.

I thought ATM cards, credit/debit cards still have the magnetic strip ?
Although most of them also have the chip.

So will the magnet damage them ?

have, but u need some sort of electromagnet to destablise them. not so easy with that kind of magnet that u use on a phone lol
