my little review on my N5 black.

using it since about 1830? batt life from 72% drop to 59%. all they while screen brightness auto. keep downloading apps. setup phone etc. display is bright n nice. camera wise. don expect too much. hope software fix come soon. the back of the device will have "water mark" if your hand is sweating. but can wipe off. power button is shaky when i shake my phone can hear the button shake sound.( but not a issue to me.) maybe its me but my hand will tend to cover the speaker hole while player game thus making the sound damn soft.( maybe its just me) overall i'm still loving it!. will use for a couple more days to see the batt life.

btw jp set starhub LTE works fine.
I'm pleasantly surprised with the battery too. my battery is at 67% after 6hr30mins of usage. Unsurprisingly, the screen will sap the most battery.

Quite disappointed with the camera though. Hope it will improve with a software fix or something.
Yeap, same experience with the speaker. Here's a screenshot of the battery usage since unboxing today and not plugging into an AC charger. Non-LTE sim card, Greenify running.

Usage: Setting up, rebooting thrice, whatsapps, a little Clash of Clans, went out for a run.

Can one person tell me whats the total damage for importing over from JP? I'm currently on the fence thinking on whether or not to get it now(Import) or wait for a few weeks more.

According to this, the nexus 5 is coming late nov/early dec:
Google launches Nexus 5 smartphone | TODAYonline

It is discussed that Google will make their new device LG Nexus 5 available in Singapore and other countries in the last week of November or first week of December, this year.

It's not likely to come. LG SG has already said there are no plans to bring it in. Check the HWZ article.

Total damage is $585 for 16GB and $650 for 32GB inclusive of GST.

My damage for a 32GB:

( Cost of phone $581 + Tenso shipping fee and insurance $23 )+ 7% GST
- 6% (of $581+$23) for Frank card rebate = around $610

You can use Tenso Japan at http://www.jshoppers.com/forward/ for cheaper fee at around $18. Time taken is about the same as Tenso.com .

The Today article seems to be inaccurate.

for now, both Google Singapore and LG Singapore have no plans to bring the N5 into the local market.

BTW, FYI, I called up LG Singapore and Google Singapore and spoke to the management team.

I guess after all of this waiting and checking, once you got confirmation of charge, just wait patiently.

sometimes its because they never update the tracking.

Singpost like to delight their customers by drastically reducing customers' expectations of their service, then suddenly meet their earlier expectations. Lol
