Thats the problem with M1 LTE, its damn slow.

I guess those who say LTE speed no diff from 3G are on M1

Its the phone not the network...i tested lte version with other telcos. Really cant make it. Phone itself really laggy. Battery live really bad...no where near to xperia z1 and note 3. Luckily managed to load it off...

Location matters too. Getting 10+ Mbps in Woodlands , now at Vivo can get 20+ Mbps using Starhub.

Don't need la. That's a old practice for when batteries were NiMH instead of today's LiIon.

You can install apps that require root. You can flash a new recovery, which allows you to do stuff like flash/backup ROMs.

Frankly speaking, I hardly get > 8MBps with my M1 4G, that's why I ended up with US set, at least this guarantee I get cheaper phone but non-US set will not guarantee I can get 40Mbps most of the time.

maybe something wrong in ur area? I get like 10mbps in yishun here

If u are actively using it.. dun expect battery to go up while charging.. the most it'll maintain the level, dun drop can already

as for what root apps to install, depend on what is your requirement.. can consider stickmount if you wish to read/write to USB flash drives with OTG adapter else wait till you have a need then install a root app.. for starters go install titaniumbackup..

maybe you can head to xda forum to see see look look first. I am using custom kernel. Battery life damn good now. 1 hour screen time, 9 hours battery time. Left 77% battery.

Any app can -

1) double tap on screen in sleepmode to wake the phone.
2) double tap the home button to sleep the phone.

USB is using lower current. Charging speed will definitely be slower. Use wall plug for faster charging speed. And using phone will charging will make charging slower, and phone hotter, which might not be good in the long run.
