create a new google account and fake everything. Use your vpost or comgateway as your address.

I've heard mixed things about it. Some say that the FCC specs list for it won't include bands outside of USA, so the nexus 5 may still run it. Well even if it doesn't run 4G here, I'm quite alright with it?

I haven't moved to a 4G plan yet and besides, battery drain won't be so bad with 3G :p

I'm on 4G plan but still happily using a Nexus 4 on HSPA+. To me the speed difference isn't that dramatic, and not worth the battery drain.

Agreed. I'm spending most of my time with Wi-Fi around, and my data is still 12GB. I could live without recontracting and losing my 12GB for another 2 years if not for the fact that I can get this N5 for free by selling off the recontracted phone :p

The monthly no contract plans (like super-sim from singtel) from all 3 carriers are kinda pointless and seems to be more worth it to sign contract. Which is why i'm thinking of going prepaid once my contract expires. Then just get Nexus every year or every 2 years. lol.

OR,

if Motorola/Google's Project ARA pans out, I could just get that too.

but still hope they sell band 3/7 in US lol

Lol. LTE/4G has been a huge clusterfu*k. HSPA, GSM all like standardised, then evolve to 4G, everyone uses a different band, suddenly the same phone now has multiple model for different regions using different bands. Too messy.

I've been trying to figure out the cost of going contract-less, but Starhub's website don't seem to have that info readily :S
