anyone on 16gb N5? is 16gb enough? how you guys manage your storage space?
I had a 16GB N4, it wasn't enough as I had lots of video files. If you don't have many large files, then 16GB is plenty.

32GB on my N5 is sufficient so far though.

**Order has been shipped  So fast

That was fast?! The Qoo10 seller was claiming that delays from LG & Google thus shortages in all regions in his sales.

Update to 4.4.2

I wasn't able to update to 4.4.2 at first but I went to Setting > Apps > All > Google Services Framework and cleared the data. Then go back to Setting > About phone > System updates to do OTA Update.

Thanks for the information Vince. Based on Google's announcement on availability of Nexus 5 in Singapore, wonder if they will be direct shipping?

Unless LG change their mind, Nexus 5 will neither be released in singapore nor they will allow customers from singapore to order Nexus 5. (Unless you try to cheat the system (for that, please refer to the earlier pages) or you got your own source to buy the phone)

Google engineer say doing that is a bad idea. But hey, whatever works for you. :D

Google Engineer Dan Morrill Sheds Some Light On The Nexus OTA Process, Urges You To Never Clear Google Service Framework Data

Doing this changes the primary ID by which Google knows your device. As far as the servers are concerned, the device was basically factory reset. There are many downstream effects of this, but a big one is that this invalidates the tokens used by any app that uses GCM (which is nearly all the Google apps, and a ton of third-party apps.)
How apps react to GCM IDs changing varies by app. With Play Store you have to log out and log back in, I think Gmail usually handles it transparently eventually but won't get new mail notifications for a while, etc. Some apps you may have to clear data on to recover. All apps will simply stop getting GCM push-messages, until they get a new GCM ID; some do this frequently, others rarely, and some apps use the GCM ID as an ID on their own servers (as it is opaque and basically random), so other things besides push messages may not work.
Nothing bursts into flames, but it makes a ton of nuisances on the device, including some that can look pretty mysterious. Your mileage will vary depending on what apps you use.

The key chain has the latest NFC (NTAG203 chip) embedded in it. This means that you can use this key chain on all smartphone with NFC-enabled, for e.g Samsung galaxy S4/S3 and HTC one etc.

IDK if anyone has pointed this out before.

Just ordered Nexus 5 from JP and it says "Purchased from Google Asia Pacific" which is based in SINGAPORE.

Does that mean it shipped from SG to JP, then we buy it just to ship it back to SG?:eek:
