For those who are getting a Nexus 5 now and are wondering whether it is worth it to fork out extra for LTE support, maybe you want to read the following article. No doubt, M1 and Singtel will follow soon.

4G users face price hikes - Channel NewsAsia

P.S. Take note, for Starhub uses, the extra charges will come into effect even though you are currently under a contract.

the 4G is an option or will be forced on consumer to pay?

New camera app has cool features but lousy design. What's the deal with the square view finder and big ass button on a non-transparent background.
Come on Google, you can do better than that.

I am reverting back to old camera first until Google fixes this. :(

Actually the photos taken with the original stock camera app are the same frame ratio 4:3 as the new camera app. They just making it more obvious with the new UI.

Currently, a 4G plan is actually a 3G plan with 4G add onto it. As long as you don't opt the optional 4G, you still have 3G at 3G price

Feeling a little pissed with the direction these companies are heading towards. From what I perceive, the data limit was drastically reduced due to the fact that they provide 4G at no additional cost. Now, since they want to charge extra for 4G, should they not re implement the previous data limit for users who want to stay with 3G/3.5G?

Just some food for thought.

Well, I am going pre-paid as soon as my plan expires :) Fortunately got the US version of Nexus 5 :D Really made the wrong decision of signing up a contract as it is really under utilized. Less than 10 minutes of talktime, 10 SMS and 50MB of data used. Just have to take it as a lesson learn (shrugs :))

Although I am also pissed off with Starhub, I have no choice but pay the additional $2.14 per month for 4G. Can't survive with 3G alone - just too slow and a time waster!
