Guys, it has been 1 month since I got my N5, and I'm currently on Stock ROM with Franco Kernel. Currently very happy with everything except maybe batt life, which I'm considering flashing a custom ROM to see if I can squeeze a bit more out of it.

Would just like to get some opinions from you guys to see if there are any custom ROMs out there which are worth the trouble in terms of batt life? Or are these batt life improvements negligible enough that I am better off just sticking to stock? :)

try change to 3g then back to 4g

Done that can't work. Think is the build problem. I went to flash beta 1 it shows LTE just fine but hen whatsapp download already can't get pass the authentication stage. Keeps showing connecting~ oh well! problems with Roms as always

Edit: managed to get to the normal messaging screen. Can whatsapp using wifi and messages will get sent out but when I switch back to mobile network it can't send my msgs out. Will just show the clock :(

Franco's r37 was the best for me. Just switched to r49 a few days ago and all is good too. Franco's kernel improved stock battery life a lot.

You should check the apps using wakelock detector or betterbatterystats if you're experiencing poor battery life.

Franco #50, the best for AOSP roms.

How bad is your batt life? Can last one day?
What you do with most of the times?

Very bad, off the plug at 720 all the way till I reach home about 930 left 5% but only 1hour SOT :s22:

I only use to WhatsApp and some light surfing of social network. Didn't even game.

Can share the link to that kernel? Thanks :D

I think even you change kernel won't help much.

There some rouge apps that drain your battery.

You got to find out what first.

No way it could drain all the way in 2hrs, even in stock.
