Considering the white or the black..... The speaker on the white N5 is ugly, but the black is too dull. Some people suggested using permanent marker to colour the white speaker :s22:

Just an update:

If you guys haven't got your screen protectors, you might be interested in getting one from XtremeGuard. Currently they have an 80% promotion going on.

Coupon Code: SPOOK80 (80% discount limited to 15 pieces per order)

I went through their shipping options:

  • USPS International Shipping ($5.87)
  • USPS International Priority Shipping ($23.99) (6-10 Days)
  • USPS International Express Shipping ($43.99) (4-5 Days)

If you calculate, the total protection option comes up to $2.20 after discount (originally $10.99) excluding shipping. 15 pieces comes up to $32.97. With the USPS International Priority Shipping option, totals up to $56.96; about $3.80 or SGD 5 per person.

From the photos i saw from gsmarena, the rim around the black look like matte finish while the one on the white is glossy.

Folks, any idea why I keep getting "technical issue" error message when trying to input shipping address? TIA

It occurred to me as well. Workaround, go to your Google Wallet settings, change your credit card billing address to the shipping address and make it as default shipping address.

frankly I prefer my devices naked. My Galaxy Nexus is still naked though i bought screen protector last time but never stick. Till now its like flawless...

I dun believe a $5-10 plastic is better than Gorilla Glass 3.. the piece of cheap plastic doesn't have oleophobic properties, nor not as smooth/shiok-to-touch factor as touching a glass.. and what you see may not be displayed as clear as the glass itself.. after a while the plastic is marred and u gotta either replace it or remove it so it doesn't hinder your experience :D

probably the only reason I would stick a screen protector is for privacy films.. but thats just me ;)

Sand will still scratch gorilla glass 3, though it's not easy. If you live near the beaches or work in places where sand is present, then it's just a matter of time before the glass is scratched.

The purpose of the screen protector is if anything happens, at least it happens on the surface of the screen protector first and not onto the device glass itself. This way your glass is still kept intact.

Just my 2 cents :)

This is lousy, it will peel off easily and the texture will stick with hair and stuff, don't waste money

Yes Xtremeguard screen protectors are horrible.

If you want to use a screen protector, use spigen's.
