With an activated Play Music account, you can upload up to 20,000 songs to the cloud, meaning you can access those songs with just an internet connection. Then you can choose to save playlists or songs for offline use too. If you are willing to pay, can even use All Access, though the music collection isnt as good as iTunes, it's still decent.

It's more convenient in the sense that you don't have to manually transfer files. Once you key in your gmail account, all your music will be there.

Without the above, the app itself can still play music stored locally, but you need transfer to your phone manually of.

PC. if you're using Mac and manage all your music using itunes, there is a client that you can download and it'll upload everything from your itunes, playlists, playcount, and all. WIN i'm not sure though. It's a one time pain, but worth it in the long run. Even Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10 both have third party clients that can access those music. Making it a good cross platform solution for music. Plus the 20,000 songs are FOC.

Hey guys if you're willing to wait and want the LTE compatible variant, I have 2 sets of 32gb black ,1 set 32gb white, 2 sets of 16gb black, 1 set of 16gb white still up for order. They're due to arrive on 22 December (just in time for Xmas) or earlier .

It's $570 for the 16gb set and $630 for the 32gb set.

delete cache or use incognito window. Use a japan VPN and creat a new account while on Japan VPN.
