just received payment notice from tenso yesterday.. paid yesterday n most likely will be shipped on 9th..

I am not sure if i wan to do a return/exchange to Japan Google.
My nexus 5 there are some small particles/dirts under the screen. Its abt 4 tiny dots/dirts. and also there are background noise when i do video recording.
If i do a RMA, i would need to pay for the shipping cost to tenso again for shipment to Spore as well as it may subject to another custom tax/gst on the replacement nexus 5.

What do u guys suggest? live with it on the tiny dirts under the screen or RMA?

You might want to check this out.

Some points worth to note:
- Request for RMA from google jap, address can be found few pages back.
- Only send out your faulty unit after you received the replacement (in case if replacement one is worse)
- Google jap will only send to your jap address (e.g tenso) and you have to shipped it back to sg at your own cost.
- You can send back your faulty unit to google jap address immediately through singpost (as pointed by the link above)

Avoid verification via SG phone.

Btw just for you guys info I bought 2 N5 32G from HK successfully. It was all due to credit card issue. Once I get the permission from my friend from HK to use his card it was smooth. Item status changed from pending to shipped within the day, and the item arrived at his office the next day.

No one interested in buying N5 in HK I suspect. Probably December batch

And yes it's much expensive but it's net HKD3,588.

Interesting usually HK is one of the cheapest places for phones. Apparently not for the N5

not many people are lucky like you, managed to get it shipped with so many procedures involved, and some don't want to go through all those procedures to ship so paying a premium for it. 580-600 are quite okay with GST included, the resellers are not charging very high.

So if I get it through you, should I be very happy that I only kanna chopped $50??

well, I ordered 4 sets without any prob... I'll collect 50% if anyone who want me to help, then 50% on collection...

not that many steps actually... it just depends on the shipping time, less than 15mins i complete the transaction already...

yah, once you ordered successfully for the first order, the rest is a breeze, my 2nd order less than 5min settled.

That why I said you lucky, like me but not for some, you dun see those who ordered successfully, laughing at those buying at a slight premium(not chop carrot price) here right?

it's your credit card and bank causing the issue not jp accounts.

you probably did not do enough reading up before you start buying...

My Nexus 5 shut down overnight, from 100% down to zero. Battery settings revealed that it's caused by Android System. I can't check the actual culprit via BetterBatteryStats cause the phone was shut down.

Anyone knows what could be the cause or how I can find out?

charge back your phone to full and than see BBS after 1-2 hours of unplugging

See if there is any unusual stuff causing wakelock..

If none, then it might be something derp but it should be a one-off case

Seems to be an one-off case. Oddly enough, it happened after I updated 4 apps via Playstore. Rebooted my phone and now it seems to be back to normal. Hope it doesn't happen again!
