For me I change phones very frequently so I need my phones to be in mint condition, I also want my phones to be in mint condition as I have a very slight OCD when it comes to gadgets so I have no choice but to choose protection over design.

Tried a wet install full body skin on 2 devices, it was horrible, will never touch them again.

body skins especially those wet applications are PITA to apply, i tried on iphone 3gs and iphone 4... i can say they work well with flat surfaces, but they don't last...

my phones are usually in mint and scratchless cont too... but i change yearly...

Its a 2pcs case instead of 1pc compared to spigen ultra hybrid.

and btw I have the following 9h Film screen protector. 9H film means its normal protector with 0.33mm thickness compare to a normal one, its not a glass, its unbreakable, can pm me if interested.

Been using my Nexus 5 without a case since day one. I applied a screen protector though. It's holding up really well, despite being dropped once. Just some minor scuffs which aren't really noticeable unless scrutinised upon.

But still, never regret buying nexus 5.

Perhaps you can try hi-tec mobile? I saw a display set and play with it before i decide to grab one . You can give it a shot but i haven't been there since though lol
