Is scrolling quickly through images in the Gallery app smooth for you guys? Mine used to be buttery smooth at the start when I didn't have too many pictures, now it has started to stutter when I scroll fast, and the thumbnails are struggling to load in time as I scroll too.

Any if you guys have this issue?

My JP nexus 5's battery is bloated, popping the backplate out. Tried to call the US google hotline to get assistance but was referred to call the japan side instead.

I googled a bit but didn't find anything on manually trimming the SSD. would you be kind enough to point me to some sources?

Used to use LagFix (requires root) on my Galaxy Nexus to fix (eMMC) slowness issue, if u dun wish to root, then dun need to manual fstrim

Even though Android 4.3 and later is supposed to include TRIM automatically, sometimes it just seems it isn't working and we might need to manual TRIM..

As for the Gallery app being slow, its due to toooo many pictures over time, and Gallery app is trying to generate a thumbnail for each of your pictures so you will experience "slowness" while it is in fact busy generating thumbnails for ALL your pictures..

I haven't used Gallery for a long time, as I use Quickpic, don't have this issue or quite little of this issue popup..

my nexus 5 having a BREAK since last Dec cos of shattered display.

waiting for the cost of the display panel to drop further before buying one to replace.

currently its selling at US$80.

not repair cost... cost of LCD only.

Learn to repair yourself lo. Quite easy.

If you have experience DIY com, then its quite similar, just that the parts smaller and most of them use adhesive or glue to join
