Luckily "enough" isn't what the Nexus line embodies.I want them to keep the price low.
I agreed 1080p is enough
Hope they price it higher.

Because it doesn't matter what you want! It's a developer device at heart, not your usual consumer please it all (not to mention how all the other consumer brands already have QHD flagships).Well, the battery of Nexus devices are always not "enough", thus bringing us back to the point (or rather pointless") argument of having a QHD screen on a <6" screen. Why have something that doesn't deliver tangible benefits when you could have better battery life instead?

In the past it was to push hardware progress. Now it's used to showcase Android OS as uncluttered via OEMs. Hardware specs of flagships at non-flagship pricings, that's what Google knows we want, and that's what we'll get, no matter how you want to argue the inevitable.![]()
Anybody's Nexus 5 can get LTE? Mine is Australian model, LTE enabled in the option, but can't get LTE. Not sure if it's my SIM card. Running stock
Japan set on Starhub. No problem with LTE.Anybody's Nexus 5 can get LTE? Mine is Australian model, LTE enabled in the option, but can't get LTE. Not sure if it's my SIM card. Running stock

are you on 4G plan?
Do you all usually manually key in the APN? Mine seems different from the settings, but still able to use 3G

And at the end of the day, it's still coming with a QHD screen.Nope. The majority of the usual OEM flagships are still at 1080p. Sony Xperia Z3. HTC M8. Moto X 2014. In fact only the Korean brands like Samsung and LG have QHD flagships, together with Oppo. If Nexus is meant to be a non consumer device then all the more it should eschew "gimmicky" features such as QHD on sub 5" screens which has no tangible benefits.
I believe if you conduct a poll amongst the Nexus enthusiasts the majority would take better battery life any day over a QHD screen below 6" display size. I really don't think that's what "we" want. Just doesn't make sense to sacrifice such an important aspect such as battery life for something that brings no benefits, and just for the sake of "pushing hardware specs". Go look up professional reviews of Nexus 5, almost every single one of them disses the battery life. That's definitely something that not only "me' wishes was better.
And at the end of the day, it's still coming with a QHD screen.I know, the Nexus "enthusiasts" are always delusional that what they say actually matters, like how they think the universe revolves around them. And every single time it has changed nothing.
So suck it.![]()
