so is it recommended to 'fresh install' it rather than update via OTA even though i only use the phone for WA and web browsing?

I'm flashing L custom ROM now... Only backed up apps' data, not sd's data(because custom rom never need to erase that afaik)...

looks like mx player cant used.. i think i will wait for OTA instead and meanwhile wait for mx player to be updated.. lazy to reinstall everything.

i did on 'flashall.bat', so it wipe ALL :o

Did you guys all flash with a new start (wipe out all data on phone) or chose to keep your data? Am concerned that it might not run as nicely if I keep my files

I did a clean fresh install given that its such a major OS bump. Anyway, all my important stuff is backed up in the cloud. Only hassle is the re-customization of the looks.

Anyone tried the OTA download yet? Heard it's out but not on my side yet.

One need to edit and remove the -w in the last line of the .sh/.bat file to prevent it from wiping the data.

I flash mine, everything is intact.

How to re-root after upgrading to lollipop?
I used Nexus Root Toolkit but it didn't work. BTW, I didn't wipe user data.
