warboy, you don't have to unroot your device. Since it's unlock already, simply flash your N5 manually.

Twrp 2.8.1.0 and the newest CF-Root that supports 5.0

I just did mine, it works!

For those intend to root and flash custom recovery after upgrading to lollipop, pls use the above 2, CWM 6.0.4.5 which I tried few days back is not working. Not sure whether the developer fixed it already.

who can answer you when the OTA is rolled out in batches, like others, I dun wait for OTA and update manually myself.

Try battery saving mode. It disable all the animation n other fluff.
