Regret never read your bad experience about breakfixnow. I also had a very BAD experience there with my water damaged iphone. Send in an exterior-flawless iphone to repair. They said needed 3-4 days to fix but dragged until almost 2 weeks.
Drag but fixed ok BUT they came back to inform me phone beyond repair. Ok, here's the thing. cannot repair never mind, they added scratches and a cracked screen to my phone! LIKE WTF. Totally INCOMPETENT and no respect paid even if they think it's beyond repair. They have no rights to treat the "dead" phone like trash.
How would I know what else has been done internally? When I argued that they replace the screen for me, they only paid lip service and did a hastily lousy job by replacing the original cracked screen with another screen that has rashes at the edges that didn't fit properly with the shell, telling me that they already gave me a "discount for not charging me labour". Well, isn't that the original clause?
I sacrificed my trust with their shop and in the end got away with more than a phone in a worse plight. I decided to leave the shop as I wouldn't want to waste any more time with them.
To all ppl out there, please AVOID breakfixnow like a plague. Unethical bunch!
I too had a bad experience with b*f*n*. Went to them because I read Web reviews on how happy some customers were.
Send my Nexus 5 with cracked screen for replacement. Was charged $160. Got back in half hour, but was shocked to see excess glue sticking out around the entire edge of screen. I didn't complain - thought it was a small inconvenience to pay quick service. Had to find various ways to clean off glue when I got home. Then discovered edge of phone housing got tools marks. Apparently the guy didn't use plastic tools to open up my phone.
A week later, screen went crazy. Flashing, inverted, etc. After a few days it died. Didn't want to go back to b*f*n* as chances are they will blame other faulty parts, and charge more, and I will still get shoddy service.
Wanted to throw away the phone. Then decided, since I got nothing to lose, ordered entire screen-housing set from Ebay. $60. Came a few weeks later, DIY and everything worked fine.
Lesson learned - don't readily believe everything you read on the Web.
