hi fellow nexus 5 user..

looking to get a new nexus 5 too..but the only thing holding me back is the backcover material. is the black model back made of rubber like or solid plastic material?

i am afraid that if its some kind of soft rubber like material, it may turn sticky or disintegrate after some time. this happen to my laptop with a soft touch rubber like material and become unusable after a yr or 2.

Thank you.

Hello guys. Is the warranty service provided by sgbest trustworthy? Is there other seller provides warranty service except sgbest and espreeko which I already know of?

i also waiting to see how sgbest.com handle my Xperia Go warranty repair.

initial impression is no good. i need to convince a korean guy name Kim who attend to me a couple times that the touch screen is problematic. only then he willing to keep my phone so as to send to technican for further checking.

hopefully dun get back to me and tell me the phone is fine.

its kind of worrying though, will update here when they get back to me.

most likely no shops will have in-shop warranty. unsure about sgbest.

Thank you Mr Kim from sgbest for not honoring my Sony Xperia Go warranty repair.

giving me rubbish excuses,

1. phone too old laggy, suggest me to not type too fast on the touchscreen. must be kidding i assume.

2. proudly showing me that the phone been flash back to stock android gingerbread which will speed up the phone. once he power on the phone, i see a big t-mobile logo but me in singapore not uk or usa. at least give me singtel bloatware if he is sincere.

i just took a minute to flash back to stock sony android gingerbread myself when i got home.

3. telling me the lcd panel has been replaced, yet there is a sticker on the back of phone left behind by technica stating "no problem". my guess is the technica too lazy to find the parts for the repair.

totally wasted my time at sgbest for their 1 year in-house warranty.

seeing the way he handle this repair, i give up and decided to send for repair elsewhere on my own expense.

now i abit regretted getting the nexus 5 from them last week, although i did managed to get a exchange due to the 1st set having the loose power button rattling build issue.

so sgbest 1 year in-house warranty is just a 7 days return thing to me. just dun expect them to repair your phone if it is 1+ years old model.

if you know what you are getting, check the set properly during the purchase, no point paying sgbest the extra dollars.
