That's very strange. However in SG context, given that LTE is still very much in a developing stage, I think the opposite holds true.

Curious to know how much Screen On Time you guys get if on LTE throughout. Kinda pointless to see screen on time when the phones on wifi since....a phones meant to be carried around outside where there's no wifi right?

hi guys. is anyone experiencing the following?
my whatsapp and facebook apps arent auto-syncing when im on 3g.
however when im on wifi they both sync immediately.

when im outside without wifi and on 3g, i dont get whatsapp messages unless i open up whatsapp to check. same goes for facebook app.

anyone got a workaround? i've tried re-installing, not restricting background data. set the app settings to allow for auto sync. nothing seems to work.

Swap to a new SIM Card, with this experience..i will bring along a spare phone that proven working with old SIM card whenever travel overseas. I have very old Malaysia Maxis SIM card ( postpaid but forever no monthly subscription fee..no incentive to cancel it right..).

m1. i just went to my APN settings and reset it to default. i dont know how to set the APNs.

thing to note, my nexus 5 was fine last week, my mobile data was fine and all.
after the recent update, everything went to hell.

Depends on quality of reception. If the bar is constantly green, battery still ok. But at home, where my bar is 1-2, always grey/yellow in the battery screen, you're gonna have trouble even if your phone is connected to wifi.

Luckily with root I just use llama/tasker to auto switch to 3G/2G at home, then auto toggle to LTE when outside.

Am rooted on stock and have CWM 6.0.4.4. Tried to download the OTA 4.4.2 update package and it went into CWM and asked me whether want to trust and install the zip blah-blah. But after clicking yes, I think eventually the package didn't install cos the phone rebooted and when check under "About phone" it is still at 4.4.

Anyone can help?

Oh that's a nice idea to use Tasker for.

I'm on starhub and when I'm on LTE, the cell signal is almost yellow throughout, with strips of reds and greens here and there, whether I'm outside, in office or at home.

Finally got my N5.
I'm using a old 3G sim card. From FAQs it seems like I don't need to change to a new one in order to enjoy LTE speed.
Did speedtest just now and DL speed range from 10-15 Mbps down and 6-7 Mbps up.
Is this normal?

Sim cards don't matter. As long as your plan is LTE enabled and not the old 12gb one.

hi guys, i am a first time android user and got my fone from the japanese play store. this is prob a noob qns but, how do i connect to the singapore play store? i have changed the address in google wallet to reflect my sg one but it's still showing the jp store. that being said, is the jp one "better" than the sg one?

just creat another google account for ur normal usage. The one u used to purchase the phone should be strictly for phone purchasing only. This is just in case that account gets banned.

try to buy an app and cancel when you're at the payment page. if you have a Singapore card registered, your Play Store should be reverted back to the SG one when you close and launch Play Store again..
