try other browsers and use alterative app for fb. They are known to have these issues, although i dont really face them.

Put your phone to silent.

No need to kill apps.

How it affects you depends on how nitpicky you are on those "defects".

no need to kill bg apps, this is not like iOS. Although you can clear your recent apps but it doesnt really affect much.

you don't have to...unless you download those background updating/sync apps, just unstall them or turn sync off, restrict to only wifi on settings/data usage etc.

if you are really using nexus 5, just go to multi task swipe left or right...

Can someone verify if M1 3G is working here? I seem to be only able to get 2G and LTE lol. Even though the phone shows H (HSDPA+) I only get 0.06Mbps, which is like some 2G speed. I get the same speed no matter what it shows - G, 3G, H. The only time I surf fast is when there's LTE but it's kinda irritating that there isn't good coverage, so ya, can anyone with a japan nexus 5 (D821) tell me if m1 3g is good?

Yes, 3g is as per normal.

H= 3.5g as well, so you're not facing good coverage at all.

Just thought of something, go your settings check your APN, i'm sure it's on the GPRS setting, press sunsurf one, or M1.

Thanks for the reply! btw, what do you mean by defects? i am an IOS user, 1st time trying out android:)
Some people think those "LG and Google tweak Nexus 5 production to fix speaker and loose buttons" are defects, most don't, so it all depends on your own perception.

If u want to try it, just get it and try it. Asking here won't make a difference until you try it out for yourself. Most people here are seasoned/biased Android users who can't give you an unbiased reply - long story short, you need to try it yourself.

Once you get the phone you will know....otherwise there's 1001 questions that you will waste yours and ours time asking and replying, when you don't even have the phone in hand. :( The fact that the whole Android world is going gaga over this phone is good enough reason to just go get it and try it for yourself.

Yep, lithium batteries do not need to be charged for some specific amount of time because they don't have memory effect / require "initialising".
The reason why we charge to 100% is really, mostly to callibrate the OS and to prepare you for the first use. There's no need though - you could very well drain it to 0 and start charging, though generally not recommended.

Yes, no need for that.

For current gen batteries, charge whenever you can, as often as you can.

I tot litium batt is best not to drain until 0%

You're right. Gotta correct myself.
Lithium batteries shouldn't be drained to 0. Usually draining to 20-30 then recharging back to 80 (yes, not 100) is the best for the battery.

Thanks for your reply - tried doing that just now and almost messed up my settings ><
Didn't work :(
It's definitely not the coverage problem, I have tested it almost all over Singapore. Prolly going to go down to an M1 Cust Service Centre some time soon, unless someone here manages to save me from a trip :)
