2x 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 RAID0 on Intel ICH9R.

Swapped out my RAID 0 of 2x WD Blue 320GB as RAID 0 is not reliable enough for me.

Got the Samsung F3 1TB (2 500GB Platters). Here's the benchie

Can't compare to a RAID 0 in terms of speed but so far running well and fast for a single non raid storage solution.
It's made in China.

Yah ... I am going to get 1 of this soon also.

I'll just get 1 first ... if the performance is ok .... I'll stick to it ... if not ... just get another one and run RAID0.

Hi all, I ran the benchmark on Velociraptor 150GB HLFS & WD 500GB blue. It seems WD blue has better transfer rate? Why is that so?

Hi Guys,

My seagate 250gb has been making louder noise during HDD seeking process thus i decided to run the HD Tune test. One thing that i notice is that the HDD temperature is running on the high side (53 degrees). ANy comments? I can't attached my test results,

I use ATTO as it does not hit my disk as much but performance is skewed as it is compressible.
I will do HDtune when my drive is settled

Hoping to keep this thread alive as I'm interested in knowing current hdd speeds especially since a few models have been released and revised (like WD Green 1TB with 3 platters instead of 4 now, and Hitachi 2TB 7200rpm/5400rpm). Just abit of contribution from some of my coms.
