what is so attractive about about xiaomi e.g. mi4? It USED to be affordable, but now the yesteryear flagship of major manufacturer is about the same price, if not cheaper, on taobao at least...

is mi4 really that good? i have horrible exp on my redmi 1s MIUI, but i admit, i pay peanut i get monkey

I think the price is really cheap and the specs are good. MIUI got better interface than Samsung and even original android. Its like apple.

There's a global ROM for Mi4: http://en.miui.com/download-240.html#368 , but it isn't SG specific since Mi4 isn't officially sold in Singapore and international ROM is now branded as Global ROM.
