Anyone order the Crystal Series Crystal Case for Xperia?
btw, im a first time Android and Xperia user here. Can i know how do u guys conserve the battery? my batt ran from 60+% to 17% over lunch, with colleagues playing abit with the youtube, 3D camera etc but not too heavy usage i reckon.
Convert user to android is still quite easy.. convert them to change to xperia s is more difficult..
Most of my female friends are not tech savvy and all they know is iPhone. I demoed my Sony Ericsson to them and I ended up buying 4 Sony Ericsson phones on their behalf just last month, haha. Some are first time smartphone users and some own an iPhone and wanted to try something different. In fact, they don't even know what Android is, haha.
Just let the battery "break-in" first. After 1-2 weeks the battery life will improve. Don't waste your time with battery saver apps and similar nonsense.
Just got the phone.![]()
Went to a Hello shop to get the phone. The first set which the customer service person opened apparently had some problem coz it couldn't read the microsim. We tested the microsim with another phone and it worked.
Opened another set and there was still a problem (turned out that 3G network was down) with the connection to Singtel so they gave me another one.So in total 3 sets were opened and I brought one out of the store.
Traded in a galaxy s phone which was root and they didnt check the os.
agree let it break in
even my arc s need weeks to break in then it own Samsung hahaha.
It have to depend on how the software make use of the available cores. End of the day, coding to take advantage of the available core, else, it will still perform like a single core.
Better as in what? Overall performance? Display? Camera??
XS is already reaching the edge of current chipset limit.
In benchmarks, a cortex-A15 dual core Qualcomm snapdragon S4(Krait) in a prototype handset has beaten the cortex-A9 Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core in a retail handset. Sony knows that 2 cortex A15 cores are faster than 4 cortex A9 cores. Wise choice.

XS using S4 chip? No right?

Sorry, I was referring to the Mint or Hayabusa or the next Sony super phone. It surely won't be a quad core and being a dual core its only logical they go with the S4 given their past preference for Qualcomm chips.
i'll be sian if this phone becomes the next "national" phone.just saw the Xperia S at IT show. Quite a lot of people were buying it when I was there. A little disappointed that the phone is a bit thick, but it is very nice other than that.
Would be nice if it is more sexy like Arc
