interesting xs batt cover is non slip materials?
from the utube it looks plastic
maybe it like se ray
the black got rubber coating
white n gold got glossy coating

The back seems to be like what Rachael has. And the curve seems to be alike as well. So yeah, it's rubber-coated. Gonna look abit ugly for people like me with sweaty palms.

But from the youtube videos online, it seems that unlike Rachael, whose white back cover was gloss plastic, the white S will be rubber-coated as well.

Thus will turn yellowish easily.

And xs seems like u dont need to buy a cover for it since its already thicker. It has this dirt-proof & non-slip surface which should be easy for the hands. :D

Ahhh... You're wrong then... Even though it has improved friction qualities, you still will tend to accidentally drop it if you are holding alot of stuff in your hands, placed it on dangerous corners of the table where your hand will just swipe it off at 1 swing etc.

The corners still will be chipped off, especially for white color, once dropped onto dirty grounds, the scars will be brownish or blackish. And for the rubbered back, imagine the tip of your scratched army boots. It's gonna be like that.

I know cos it happened to Rachael T_T

But the good thing is, this time round there are no silver-coated linings, so you won't have to worry about the phone turning ugly after the silver paint comes off.

Well, maybe for the side buttons, but, yeah...

haha np
just too bad lor
either wait for Google to impremsnt
or switch different os phones
or convert to the format which the phone only accepted

Actually I can still play wma files, just that I am using Poweramp instead of the Arc's player.

It's just that the play on S looks cool so I hope I can use it +_+

Kinda feel sad for the phones... the bloke flicks them around like nobody's business. That's cellular abuse!

For everything there are pros & cons. If it is built with nice material with best protection element, it might be so rubbery or big that it does not look & feel good in the hands. Similarly, if it is built to look glossy & nice, it will sacrifice the protection element.

But lets all be honest, even the most cautious person will make mistakes at times. So for customisation & friction qualities, leave it to the phone cases to protect the phones.

No phones are made perfect. My colleagues' gs & ip4 dropped - screen cracked & I dropped my arc s - one corner chipped. If we all are going to be so particular about toughness of phone, we are all going to get xperia active or something with similar qualities. :D

One thing I agreed with you, the arc/arc s silver lining do come off, revealing ugly edges around the phone.
