Depends on the coverage in the area.
WCDMA is very weak in my house and office,
so I've to switch to GSM to prevent battery from
dying too fast.
Is WCDMA for 3g only while GSM for 2g only? Currently I don't have 3g plan but going to get one next month. Mine using GSM only now, really save some batt time.

I also start using that day leh. Till now gotta say alot of improvement lah, but still not as good as yours.
My usage, 8am unplug, go work, office, sometimes outside, 20~30min phone calls per day, whatsapp SMSing FBing, 3min of music FM and mp3... reach home 7:30 battery 15~20%.
Unless you tell me you're on GSM only network all the way... I'm on GSM+WCDMA..
my phone suffers from yellow cloud at bottom of screen:-( should I live with it? seems like users in other countries can exchange for new unit?
btw when I plug in to charger and continue using the phone, the batt indicator shows charging, but after1-2 hours the percentage only up by 5%! what's wrong?? cannot charge when phone in use?
Anyone here have yellowish spot on their Xperia S? I think I found the reason for it. I tried leaving my phone to idle for a long period of them, the yellow spot seems to be gone. However, after I start using the phone and the phone start to heat up, the yellow spot came out again.
I know that yellowish screen is common. Won't it be odd that it disappear when you are not using it for awhile and than it appear again when it get warmer?Yellowish screen is common. Fact. If you guys can't live with it, dun use a smart phone. =)
Another true fact too. =)
