I have posted the following on the official SONY Xperia Support Forum as I'm still not getting back my handset from Bishan Service Center. :frus: :D:s22::s11:

I am slowly becoming a want-to-like-SONY-but-simply-can't customer.

The Xperia team is not posting any reply anymore, keeping silent and making us play the Waiting Game. Will time heal our wounds?

I'm just keeping my fingers double-crossed and hoping that the new screen is really free of such "yellow tint" issue generically (not just another display unit of the very same problematic kind). Otherwise, I can't imagine sending it in again and having to wait for ages again! It is already coming into the second week with still no-call-no-show from the service center. It still feels so wrong.

My optimism on SONY is gradually fading away. Some friends asked me if they should buy this phone and I was like, "Urm..."

I hope SONY could do some miraculous extravaganza and keep me from regretting for not getting HTC One X instead.

K, done venting out my anger and frustration for now. If I have to wait much longer, my future posts will become even sourer than this!

Not bad Sony replace the LCD. Iphone4s have this issue and i dun think apple would even bother to change.

Yeah those that have the yellow tint problem should just get their phones back first rather than park their phone at the service centre indefinitely. Wait till got news that the spare parts come then check in again.

I thought about it, too, but I'm afraid if I send in again when the parts arrive, I have to, again, get behind the long queue and might end up with situations like having not enough stock for replacement and needing to wait for a subsequent batch of shipment, etc, etc. I'm quite certain a lot of XS owners are sending theirs in. I'm not sure if SONY is shipping out sufficient quantity of replacement screens.

Using the phone and noticing the yellowy brownish patch is no fun either. It's an attention seeker! :s22:

One other thing is about personalization and configuration. Once sent in, it'll come back factory-reset. I have to start it all over again. I don't feel good to install apps and such while knowing the fact that I have to do it all over again after sending in.

Haha, I have a lot of childish concerns, don't I? :D

Is there any easy way to do so?
We're on the verge of getting the official ICS update, too, on the other hand. I just don't wanna complicate matters.

I thought SONY would stage a good comeback with the release of "Xperia S". :s8:

But now, it starts to seem a bit hopeless and it is not coming back at all. :(

Only a miracle could save SONY now. :s13:

Maybe it was just some inconsiderate and not well-informed comment/answer from a CSO from SONY center. :s8:

In this era of Internet, such a little ignorant statement could create some big fire online! :s13:

Maybe they mean some users take months to find out the problem or it takes weeks to months for more replacement parts to come in.

Last time I worked in sony logistics warehouse, there are spare parts shipping in daily. And these spare parts are strictly replacement parts. So dont get too negative about it.

Usually some of the service centre workers do not know what they are talking.

Previously I call up to check repair period for replacement of arc case & was told it will take 3 hours. I went there & one goondu told me 3 days. I asked him to check with the person I spoke to & after a few communication here & there, it took less than 2 hours for the repair.
