Hi telly,

Sorry, I meant to say it's the same phone. The yellow tint is already there before upgrading to .73 build. I thought my eyes was playing tricks on me.

However, i'm happy with the battery life now, but the yellow tint is really getting on my nerves...like i have some curry stain on the phone perpetually...

Really think of selling the phone. A bit disappointed with Sony of not coming out and clarify quickly...

Saw in the thread that .73 build is being pushed out but i've already wasted my half day leave and taxi fare to J8.

M.K.L.....

hi rick korkor
i understand. i would probably feel the same too
we all want the phone in perfect/good condition when we buy it new
and especially when we spend so much on it
unfortunately, there will be lemons in all electronics and others
the good thing is, sony is willing to replace it tho the wait is a tad long
what is MKL? :s11:

The yellow tint on my screen... sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not :s22:

Think I'll just wait till my screen protector becomes totally busted before I get the screen changed.

I think if constantly under non-extreme usage (temp of 40 degrees and above), still can live with the screen issue.

At least till the replacement screen parts come in and stock is up. :D

Think One X is overhyped as it's first Quad-Core phone, plus the proliferation of $100 off HTC vouchers in the forums.

That might help to boost the possibility of one getting HTC One X over Sony Xperia S. ;)

Any one got experience charging with PC?

This also happened on my friend's Xperia X10 previously.

Normally I charge using PC USB port then sometimes haven't finish charging, I head to bed, so I switch off the PC with the USB still plugged to the USB port. iPhone can continue charging that way or rather remained with enough battery.

But for Xperia, when I wake up in the morning, the battery is almost flat for no reason?

Same thing happened for my brother's Xperia S today.

Any idea why?

Noblewolf@ are you going to share your finding with Sony? I will like to see how they react.

if users are all cooperative, this fact and figures will find its way to the prints if Sony won't act til this monthend..

I myself also thinking of selling this phone.. smartphones come and go..I don't keep a phone longer than 6months unless I really like it very much..now I'm stucked with this phone while watching the depreciation all the way to the longkang, sell it off also people look at the yellow tint as opportunity to cut your throat..

defects are now becoming a standard on these dirty players. unacceptable qa/qc now becoming "okay lah, others also have!"

It ain't necessary that some are not cooperative. It's just that some know doing all these attention-seeking moves are just making ourselves look silly. Such a childish act will also increase negative publicity (which they are already trying hard to rectify by admitting about the defect and offering to change the screens), putting them in the danger of running out of business.

We all know they declared their net loss and laying off 10,000 staffs. Ending the Xperia line is not what we want. Some of us have been using Xperias since Rachael. And we like them, despite some flaws.

If you want a perfect phone, make sure at least pineAPPLE phones are 100% consumer-satisfied before challenging other companies to do so.

And the fact that you just declared yourself as someone who changes phones like nobody's business, I doubt anybody, especially large organizations, will take your campaigns seriously. Heck, some of us here are not even taking you seriously, I believe.

I look forward to seeing your figures 'in print', as you declared, at the end of this month. And I hope you won't post anonymously as cowardice can't convince others. At least a pic of you with your eyes being blocked by a black strip? ;)

P.S. there is not such word as 'stucked' =)

In the official SONY Xperia Support Forum, I saw someone from Singapore just posted saying that he had received the so-called "fixed" XS from the service center and the issue still came back!

What the hell, SONY!? :s11:

You bought fruit phone, got deathgrip issue, fruit company dont admit & solve the problem, throw you a bumper case & tells you to use it their way or no way.

The irony is that many are still buying the fruit phone.

Be glad that at least sony admits its problem & repairs your phone FOC. :D

i luffed at these complains over the 1x and find that HTC customer services still sucks since i gave up with them. Hardware also QC failure for most of their products. :s22:

After sending in my HTC One X for repair, I had to waste my time again to go to the service center because the service rep didn't register my device details correctly and another useless chap calls me telling I need to submit Proof of Purchase to get repair. After all this nonsense, now am told that I will have to supposedly wait for two weeks as "HQ" has not shipped the repair parts to the service center yet. They don't confirm even then if it can repair.

HTC is the worst and most pathetic service I have experienced ever till date. Cannot even tell definitively when the parts will be available. Seriously paid for flagshi*

No. Won't charge for repair. But he inspected the phone then makes this statement. Makes me feel like the uni-body can withstand a fall, but maybe phone gets internal injuries. lol.. I haven't dropped it or anything at all. Just started stuttering while playing music and then music stopped completely. Dead speaker. Never ever saw something that dies like that doing such a normal task. This was not the only issue with it. Hope they fix it for sure.

Guess waiting was a blessing for me, prices dropped from RRP 998 to Dealers 770.

Issues with screen and battery drain ...

Well, in two months time, the fruit may announce something and I can re-con or make a decision then.

Samsung will also be having something also ...

Just got a call from HTC customer service, the 1 to 1 replacement for my phone will arrive in 2 to 3 weeks!

The person said it is due to stock shortage.

Anybody already got their 1 to 1 replacement?

This is unacceptable. I hope they expedite the process. :(

My phone still haven't reach 100% after charging for 2.5hours... :s22:

I found a stranger's photo in the "mnt/sdcard/downloads/bluetooth" folder... wtf?!?!?!

Sounds like a total nightmare for 1X. Makes our yellow-tint issue seems like minor thing.

Definitely, HTC seems to have a lot more worse with their One X. Glad that i made the switch to Sony Xperia S instead, quick charge is a plus and yellow tint issue, well a minor issue that I can still live with.

Came from Samsung Galaxy S II,and i can say, the screen is definitely a onlooker for many. Especially when it beats the fruit phone with higher pixel density on a larger screen, and more screen estate compared to S II.

:D :D :D

Can be just a lemon set, have to trust SONY for FOC screen replacement. Parts are readily available yet, so take it with a pinch of salt. :D

It's more or less the same thing going on across the smartphone industry regardless of what brand it is....

no mobilephones in the market got no bugs.

every electronic product has bugs...not to mention public phones too.

The least bugs and nearly perfect phone with no bugs is my wired home telephone :s13:
