Well, at least you get your handset back. :)

If I take it back now and send it in again later, I might get behind a long Q, you know. We were told that we're now on a so-called "priority list". Should I drop out of it? :s8:

Their advice on the stock level is not very trustworthy. When I sent in mine on 01-04-2012, I was told at the counter that they had the stock at that time. Only to my dismay, they called me 3 days later and said the stock will take another 7-14 working days to reach. Anyway, what to do... :s22:

Think like others have mentioned, just leave the contact no. with them and wait for their call when stocks arrive. Meanwhile, you will still have your Xperia Sto use, with the slight fault in screen only.

But if don't use phone till over 40 degrees, you should be fine. ;)

I think my yellow tint was visible almost all the time regardless of its temperature... or was it my wild imagination...? :s13:

Only when the phone is showing white pages after heating it to 40 degrees with gaming.

Other than that, looks pretty normal to me. :s8:

Just found that the use of micro-HDMI is more affordable then use MHL-HDMI adaptor combo. :D

For my case, if I recall correctly, it started to become noticeable after 5-10 minutes of continuous usage with brightness level around 20-30%. My yellow patch was located at lower portion. near the capacitive touch buttons. It's quite detectable on FB app with the white background. :o

The feeling sucked, knowing that it is there and I wanted it replaced ASAP. After sending it in, the long wait makes me feel even worse. To make them retrieve it back from their repair center (which is supposedly not the same as their service counter in Junction 8), I think it'll be a bit troublesome for them. And I have to send it in again. Gr... The whole situation just sucks. :(

Same issue for me, but have to deal with it rather than no phone to use. :s11:

how to check the temperature?

I used 2x battery saver app, with temperature readings built-in for app.

It will show current voltage, battery temperature, and battery tech, which is Li-Polymer in this case. :s8:

That's still okay, my backup phone is my army phone Nokia 8250 :-(

The good thing is I only need to charge once in 3 days. And the phone won't get heat up after playing hours of snake!

My backup phone is SE W850i

Only need to charge 1 week once...lolx

Is that app trustworthy or not? As in, does it show the screen's temperature that actually is causing the yellow fever? :D

I'm now using my old Nokia C3-00 which is currently the best one among my backup handsets. =:p

I let the app decide for me one. Temperature is shown as passive information. :)

Phone can use is better than put at service centre and cannot use !

Should be alright one, used that for my Xperia arc and Galaxy S II before, all okay. :)

I don't think it will show the actual temperature that is causing the yellowish tint, have to deal with it based on your own observations. :s13:

I've got my Nokia E51 with me as backup. :(

That is the legendary slider phone with Walkman logo ! :o

Glad to hear that I am not the only one having a antique phone. Haha

Nowadays phone company to build a phone that cannot survive more than hours without recharging and it is still called a mobile phone. How mobile it is while you need to plug into a socket most of the time

We still have nokia selling cellphones that can last 3 to 5 days, limited to calls & smses only. If that is what you are looking for, simply a mobile phone. :D

hi new member here! im using the xperia s for close to a month. The yellow spots on my screen is kinda spread around the screen edges except for the bottom. But mine is abit more obvious not on white screen but on dark grey or dark blue background. Would like to know if anyone has gotten their screen replaced yet?

Btw do anyone's phone heat up quite quickly? And is this normal or what?

I still believe in older phones that can last for a week.

At least my SE c905 does. :)

The heat up should be normal, especially when it comes to gaming on the phone.

Screen can be replaced at service centre, when the parts come in.
