You could chose to use another browser that allows you to default setting browser agent to desktop, such as Dolphin HD. Stock Android browser default reports agent as mobile I think, which sites provide a lesser quality site.

what i meant was only in desktop mode then can get 720p?

while samsung nexus mobile mode is able to get 720p already

Just came back from sending phone to service. Also asked them to change the screen for the yellow patches. Really no chiobus. Was told to expect a wait of 2 weeks+.

The arrangement at the Jurong Point collection point quite strange: the store is called Ace 1, the store window sticker is for Galaxy S3, the guy is wearing Xperia polo-t, the plastic bag they gave me for the spare Samsung phone I bought was a 6range plastic bag. Is Ace 1 a spin-off of 6range or something?

For your info, that shop and the one in Tampines MRT outlet are previously selling Sony Ericsson phones under 6range and they change both outlets to Ace 1 and sell HTC phones, the boss is still under 6range.

Due to no sales for HTC phones, they have converted both Jurong and Tampines outlets to general phone outlets to see all brands of mobile phones.

Yes, I will not send my phones under these 2 outlets but send it to other Sony Mobile Concept Stores or wait till the Bishan Service Centre opens on the 22nd June 2012.

Have faith ba. I was told that it may take 7 - 14 working days yet I got it back after 5 working days. But I sent it to the temp Service Center situated at the AMK Hub lah, dunno about yours...

2 weeks + is just a worst case scenario cos they can't promise you earlier dates to avoid disappointment and complaints.

Ya, could have went to other collection points, but waiting for reno to finish not really an option in my case. Phone earpiece spoil leh. I need a phone, not a too-small tablet.

I would suggest waiting for the bishan xperia center to open before sending in any phones.

Hmm how to check for the yellow screen problem? I just bought my xperia s 5 days ago from starhub.

Recent batches of Xperia S already have the fixed display.

Anyway...

Did you see any yellow patches below the LCD??? If dun have...then u are safe.

Can launch FB app. Before loading there is this blue screen. If there is a patch near the bottom of the screen, u need to replace it. it's obvious.

But like i said, recent phones should already been fixed.

I hope GX or anything similar please don't use the same screen as XS... they better wake up their ideas. I was looking at SONY Walkman Z series... WTF...the screen on this walkman totally pwned the XS IMO. A bit disappointed...to be honest...

If they can fit that into a walkman...please fit it into your high end phone NXT series please.
