Anyone can share the cons of tweaking with the cpu governor? From what i read, unable to use banking apps but seems can use magisk to work ard. Whay about other gov apps that needs singpass?

ehm for me the phone already damn fast w/o governor. i also use nova launcher to tweak speed settings...

The reason why cant use because phone must be rooted in order for u to tweak that.

Lol, you should try changing governor. The speed difference on another level, the stock speed you're using now is sluggish compared to changing the governor

All ur banking apps will work, just get SU via magisk. Singpass no problem. Is see whether you brave enough to do it hahaha, must have a strong heart! Really very fast, is like you upgrade to GTX 1080 then your fps all smooth when you scrolling or doing anything. The stock speed feels sluggish immediately when you do the change in governor hehehes

If I'm not wrong it's not just about increasing the speed of the phone, rather, it's to improve the framerate and overall smoothness. For me, I sometimes experience lags and animation stutters while using the phone that are quite noticeable; it usually persists for a few hours and then suddenly the lag is gone. It's especially noticeable when I use the mail app Inbox. Whenever I press on an individual mail to open it, most of the time the animation doesn't even execute fully. Not sure if this issue is related to what tweaking the governor settings can fix. But I guess if you're alright with the current performance then there's no need for you to tweak anything :)

Errr what u mean by brave heart? May brick the phone or??? I found a guide in Android Explained website and very tempted to try but scared will brick or have unintended effects hence need to know all the cons first

Ya brave heart to not panic if phone bootloop or some **** happen lol, mine tio before cannot boot up no OS hahahaha, all wiped! The instructions on forums always miss 1 step or 2 step. So pls really read a few sites then try if not later stuck or what ggwp

If you using android, can try to root and try out, if you don't like then come back to stock la easy : ) don't constrain yourself, try it out!

I got mine from courier, awhile later I jitao root and everything, no fear! No regrets, kinda miss the phone but iOS more suitable for me, definitely miss dash charging

ok, realised the main issue with my phone dropping connection.

basically whenever I enter/exit low or weak coverage areas, for example lifts, the connection will drop off, but it will not auto reconnect, so I gotta manually airplane mode on/off to reactivate my data, anyone has this issue too?
