Just so you know, like xiaomi, local set take stock from hk. It does cover all band 1/3/7/8 used in sg 4g.

Different bands have different reach, means better coverage. Band 8 for singtel is more for within buildings if I remember correctly, I might be wrong.

something to do with capacity n indoor/outdoor penetration

coverage is right not reception

but the science of it is alien to me

so more bands mean better coverage in a big country like usa or china

in singapore or even malaysia...does not matter

higher band means more capacity, bandwidth n better outdoor coverage

band 8 used by singtel is good as since only singtel is using it here, capacity is more than enough

but does not really explain the band thingy

i remember that engineer was saying even in singapore.. band 3 is adequate as population n size is small...indoor reception is impt...but band 7 is a fair compromise
