download VPN app , connect to countries like germany(they seem to be the first country to get stuff when OP release them) and check again , you will get the update like that via ota

Yup. And only Singtel users "may be" affected even if using A3000.

Some Singtel users here using A3000 reported no difference in 4G reception. Band 8 very seldom being utilized. But doesn't harm to have it by buying the A3003. So up to you all to decide.
