I don't see much difference.... maybe extreme indoor conditions

Did you enable NFC before you place your phone near the reader?

I'm using China set A3010 with 3.5.4 locked boot loader. I recently paid with it at hans. No prob.

you just need to dl 3.5.3 and put it into your phone and install via the official recovery.. similar to manual ota update.

Weird. Assuming that the setup is okie. Perhaps you might want to check with your bank.

confirm here too with China set. no problem with android pay. but no 4G+ with Singtel

I think there's no 4G+ on starhub as well. I just got my set (A3010) today and fire it up with starhub sim but only had 4G for the entire day..

EDIT: bootloader is locked. now i'm lost

u tried with different payWave terminals? sometimes for some weird reason it just refuses to work but on other times and diff locations, it works.

btw, download SafetyNet Helper (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.safetynet.sample&hl=en) from the Play store and see if it returns a green or red result

You place your "card" on the reader? What card?

I just bought a screen from aliexpress, wish me luck. Update in a month's time.

Update in a month's time. self-fixed. Actually quite easy, but got a hiccup. it's all good now except the home button is not working. Using the assistive buttons now. I think it's software more than hardware. Googled, seems like a common issue.

Points to note.

1. I peeled the screen from the old frame. Digitizer and glass screen virtually impossible to take apart. I don't recommend you buy it separately. Frame can be reused, if you want. But you need some kind of adhesive. I'm using a phone cover to hold them together at the moment. lol. Anyone here can help out on this?

2. Need good tools for it. Do buy a good set from taobao.

3. always use a glass screen protector. Because it's a brick if you break it.

4. Don't call me a bro, please?.

I purchase the glass screen with digitizer from TB at RMB588 which is cheapest of all I can find typically range from RMB650 - RMB700.
I brought to Holiday Plaza and get the repair shop to swap out the screen for me at RM50.
I think they underquote me as he told me take 45min to fix but in the end took 1.5hr to swap the screen.
I watch the whole process of changing the screen and he took long time to remove the screen from the frame.

You may purchase the glass screen with digiizer that come with the frame, and you may change the screen by yourself. Google the video.
