The advice would be to forfeit the warranty and just get export set becos the local warranty is almost like non existence. Do search if you want to read more becos there are some threads about it since the first OnePlus one days.

Even buy export set normally get 1 month warranty of shop warranty in case any failure in the beginning which is good enough imo.

Oneplus 5 64gb going for $499 on lazada. 128gb $599. All these are before discounts. Just bought one 64GB model from there. Only for 12.12. Yesterday, I was agonising between the 1+5 and Huawei honor 8 pro/ honor 9 and was going to settle for honor 8 pro @ 569 because the cheapest 64gb 1+5 was $649. Imagine how surprised i was when i checked again and saw the 1+5 going for $499. No brainer. Hoot only. Even used a discount code on it to further reduce the price. Luckily i never settle.

I dont think the 5T is worth the $200 price premium. I also think going from 16:9 to 18:9 is a downgrade because those extra pixels on the side are useless and consume battery/frame rate. Most of your media are in 1080p resolution anyway, so you'll get useless black borders at the side that looks ugly anyway.

price is good because these are local sets, even though the local support sucks, but good pricing, little support is better then none.
