anyone knows if the alert slider can be customize the media volume? for eg. I want my Don't Not Disturb media volume to be 50% and my Ring profile to have 75% media volume

edit to add antutu score after the upgrade and it's 179526

You have the score before Oreo? Thx

What types of call quality tests you have in mind specifically? Some of the test sites like gsmarena will review call quality in terms of audio quality and speaker performance.

End to end call quality is hard to test objectively since telecom signals may vary from network to network.
End to end call is the basic of mobile phone ..... Till the invention of smart phone. Haha...

Oops, to clarify, I meant the ambient display. If it's 10:30pm for example, the "1" is in red in the new update.

Whether basic phone (GSM, CDMA, 3G era) or smartphone (HSDPA era onwards), telecom wireless signals vary in quality all the time. It is just not possible to ensure objectivity in a test on end to end call quality.

Maybe that goes with all benchmarks!

Also, OP "had" cheated and failed to boost scores. If the reports below are to be believed, there was no more running at max frequency since mid Nov 17 and what OP did actually make no difference to the benchmark scores.

Its not about the memory. More about the CPU and GPU. The A11 CPU on the iPhone 8 and iPhone X are miles ahead of the 835 and Exynos 8895(1st ever smartphone CPU to hit 10k multi core score on Geekbench 4)

Well, it may be true but don't forget OP has 6 months of tweaking and improving the OP5 to an OP5T as they are pretty much the same except for screen, camera and FPS. It is highly possible that OP5 wasn't really doing that well in "actual" benchmarks back in the days without cheating. So now after 6 months of tweaking & improvements, OP5T without cheating shows it's true benchmark performance

Yes, sw (legit) improvement helps with scores.

Bottom line to me, it is just plain dumb of OP to cheat like that in the first place when benchmarks are not heavily relied upon in the first place and any improvements from cheating are marginal.

The phone has the fastest android chip and with a thin Android skin, even without cheating the benchmarks must surely be up there with the other flagships, even beating some if not all. Otherwise, the real-life performance is also perceptibly fast enough to beat them already. :s13:

That's similar to: "Halimah could have won by her own accord, there is no need to do so many things to 'make' her win".

That's why I always take benchmark scores with a grain of salt as I've stated in my first take in this topic. The day to day usage, multitasking and features makes more sense than benchmark.

Plus Chinese companies have this kiasu mentality so scare people only look at benchmarks to judge a phone. Personally, I feel OP has the fastest UI on Android phone but other phones like pixel 2/XL, v30(debloated), Huawei mate 10 (can debloat also) isn't far off with the smoothness so it comes down to features and price that u are willing to pay for the features they come with.

OP5 is bang for buck but OP5T isn't as it's price to close to mate 10 already. So I'd take mate 10 over the 5T TBH especially when Huawei has 2 years warranty over 5T export sets

Sharing Fwiw.. I just upgraded to android oreo (purchased op5 during lazada 12.12) and it works great. Felt slight slowness in usage but it might have been oneplus trying to smooth the interface. Just take note that wiping cache after upgrade is essential for speeding up when you upgrade.. It definitely was a marked difference for me.

I'd suggest a full wipe especially with major update like this to avoid any problems down the road like excessive battery drain, certain features not working properly but hard to pin point.

seriously, who/which handphone brand started “more RAM means faster” concept?
saw many ppl said dissapointed wif x phone not having 8GB RAM:s13:
but moi 1yr old IP7 still outperform OP5

apple sw/hw integration very good
moi ipad 10.5” really amazingly fast

while moi OP5 after updated to Oreo, moi feel like batt consumption is higher overall:(

How does your ip7 outperform OP5? Benchmarks?

Are benchmarks indicative of real world?

DID u actually try using both in real world side by side and compare?

I used my OP5 side by side my friends ip 8 plus, EVERYTHING LOADED FASTER.

IOs animations are so dated, the ram cannot keep up no matter how u optimize it.
