hey guys, planning to pick up my first fragrance, anyone have any opinions about issey miyake pour homme sports and christian dior fahrenheit? thx, would really appreciate any inputs

For everyday use?Skip the Sports and go with the Original D'Issey, the Sports seems watered down to me.

Dior Fahrenheit..violets.Petroleum-green vibe.Classic and potent.
Look into frags from the houses like Kenzo,D&G and Boss. They have nice frags for first timers.

Start slow bro.Search for Ciro Nero on Youtube.

Hey! I'm actually 18 this year and looking for something that while masculine, does not smell too mature( am i making sense with this statement? ) and I'm actually leaning alot towards fahrenheit but worried about the coming across as too mature part

It does make sense. As long you're not wearing anything too musky you'll be fine.Try Aqua Fahrenheit then,a fresher version with excellent longevity.

When you wear something masculine like with leather or tobacco that mature aspect will come along with it.Keep testing diff frags and you'll get the idea.As long as you don't wear outfits like an old man while rocking out Fahrenheit, you'll do great.

Aqua fahrenheit sounds just like what I'm looking for! givenchy play intense was nice but i feel too sweet. will go down to sephora to get a whiff of aqua f :) By the way, do you know where i can get frags at a lower price because sephora is imo expensive. But I'm also quite unsure of online retailers such as Discount Online Perfume Retailer | Cosmetics and Fragrances for Men & Women | Lubricants & Lifestyle Products - Singapore Perfumes - C-Link Supplies Pte Ltd because I'm not sure of the authenticity.

$59 is quite costly for a toilet fresherner. :p
the whole guilty line is average and generic (to put it nicely... )

Damn autocorrect. Sillage lol. From my knowledge its the projection of the fragrance. Basically how strong or weak it is..

Anyway yeah, I like this because its rly an all occasion fragrance. Perhaps a little too sweet for some but it suits me fine :)

Thanks for clarifying, tansrb. :)

Was planning to begin my frag journey today, went down to Jasina after reading the posts here today..

In the end close..

I was eyeing the Mont Blanc Starwalker, really like the scent.
Does anyone have anything else similar to recommend? :D

Kyoto has a very zen like woody feel..like in a temple for quiet meditation. Avignon seems to transport me to a Roman cathedral worshipping ceremony. Love both!!! However, must pull handbrake a bit for coming CNY....

Kyoto smells like those scented Chinese souvenir fan. Avignon to me smells no different from my Ambre Sultan...

I'm actually tempted to get a play intense and a Fahrenheit/aqua fahrenheit but can someone tell me what occasions can play be used for since its the sweet gourmand kind, abit not too versatile

Yup, watched it already :) sry if I sound too inquisitive, cos I'm pretty new to the frag world and....don't wanna end up smelling weird or as too offensive

It's okay everyone starts somewhere. When you starting out,you gotta remember.Always start with the basics,if you want something like Fahrenheit..try it out a store. If it's too harsh, try Aqua.If you want something stronger try Absolute or 32 for a weird gourmand version.

You mentioned you want something masculine but not mature,I got a simple answer to that and it's YSL L'homme. No matter what others will say but this is versatile and non-synthetic,a great starter frag and a keeper.La nuit on the other hand isn't at all a great frag IMO after sampling some others.

1)YSL L'homme
2)Bleu De Chanel
3)Aqua Fahrenheit(If you still want that "leather" feel)
4)Any Gourmands
5)Hugo Boss Red(I may have kinda dissed this but for starters,excellent)/Boss Bottled

Just walk in a store and sample.Let the SAs assist you for the first time, ask questions(usually they don't actually know much) and enjoy.Join my Fb group, got some nice guys that can help you there.

I love Issey Miyake too! Currently using Fragonard. Anyone knows shop in Singapore selling Fragonard? Else, I will just go back to IM after finishing my bottle of Fragonard.

Anyone tried the Issey Miyake Sport? Heard that it is quite long lasting, how is it lasting in Summer weather like Singapore?
