It's okay everyone starts somewhere.When you starting out,you gotta remember.Always start with the basics,if you want something like Fahrenheit..try it out a store.If it's too harsh,try Aqua.If you want something stronger try Absolute or 32 for a weird gourmand version.

You mentioned you want something masculine but not mature,I got a simple answer to that and it's YSL L'homme.No matter what others will say but this is versatile and non-synthetic,a great starter frag and a keeper.La nuit on the other hand isn't at all a great frag IMO after sampling some others.

3)Aqua Fahrenheit(If you still want that "leather" feel)
4)Any Gourmands
5)Hugo Boss Red(I may have kinda dissed this but for starters,excellent)/Boss Bottled

Just walk in a store and sample.Let the SAs assist you for the first time,ask questions(usually they don't actually know much) and enjoy.Join my Fb group,got some nice guys that can help you there.

I just tested Dior Homme and YSL La Nuit. Find them too oriental for my liking, reminds me of sandalwood. Any recommendations for something similar to Gucci Guilty?

L'Homme Intense has nothing to do with the original L'homme. YSL may say it's a flanker but like L'homme Libre etc,it's an entirely different frag.
Intense is like Paco's One Million,should be okay for general use as it's more refined but overall just another clubbing/night out fragrance.

L'homme is a versatile scent,a Swiss army knife.On a side note,after trying out stuffs and reading about frags...longevity & projection should not matter at all till it's tried out on the skin.
Diff skin diff result. L'homme last a long time on my skin.

thanks for the explanation because it doesnt smell like they are in the same line to me in the very beginning. I like the smell of L'homme but I currently have 3 bottle of chanel, de beu, allure homme blanche and allure homme sport EAU extreme.
Reallyh thinking of buying L'homme and add more variety to my daily use.
I had finish using cool water and dior fahrenheit, definitely going back to them as i like their smell. longevity & projection is very important to me so I always test the frag on my skin a few times before i buy

I got mine mostly from Perfume Forever in Jurong Point and Bonjour Cosmestcs, these shops similar priced to those in Lucky Plaza. So far happy with my purchases.

Finally sampled Tauer's LDDM.
Let me make it simple...not full bottle worthy.Andy's a great guy but this frag has nothing special..aromatic spice with some woods.
Moroccan desert air?Yeah sure.
It's so familiar to something else,glad I've crossed it out from my to-buy list.
Wearable in SG's weather,may fool a lot of noses but not mine.

Quality juice though just nowhere unique or great to the others I've sampled.

I bought the Versace Pour Homme in the end, any comments on this perfume?

I have tried Cool Water but it does not last long on my skin. How about Dior Fahrenheit?

I also bought the small bottle of YSL La Nuit De L'Homme and L'Homme to try out and found out the smell from La Nuit De L'Homme is very oriental type, however, the smell from L'Homme is very fresh and nice.

Anyone which shop has more small bottle fragrance compared to the one in Toa Payoh Central?

Got my first hoot from Jasina today. The malay salesperson looks quite stern at first but turns out she has a great sense of humour. Overall great service

Got this tester set for 40 sgd only, 200ml ( salesperson told me for personal use buy tester set more worth it, same content, quality not compromised, just different packaging.

She also recommended me Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet and Carolina Herrera Fragrance 212 for Men. I find both really nice but the 212 smells different and better after a while.

Any opinions from the laojiao on this thread on the ultraviolet and 212?

Still deciding which bottle to get while I start saving up.

Good not quite marvelous, green crisp notes, with a nice woody dry down, but average silage and lousy longevity.
Not worth the bucks if you buy it at retail price...

I see, what other fragrances are your favourite as well.

The Versace Pour Homme does not last long on my skin and guess that is the disadvantage of EDT for guy's perfume.

I have not found my favourite perfume which has that executive and elegant powdery smell which many executives are using, I know it might be common but I just love that smell.
