Hey guys, I've been looking to buy my first bottle of cologne.
Only been to sephora so far but notice there's quite a limited amount of colognes to
try.

What would be a place with more variety? Mustafa?

Anyway, I stumbled upon this 66SGD 100ml Versace eros here. legit???

Versace EROS Men EDT 100ml | Lazada Singapore

edit: interested in trying YSL, chanel, dior and carolina herrera

Mustafa does not carry any of the brands you are interested in trying.
However, they do carry quite abit of the other brands and many tester bottles are there for you to try, without sales assistants bothering you.

Otherwise, you can try departmental stores in Orchard such as Tangs, Isetan which carries these major brands.

Also, you can just walk into their respective boutiques to give them a whiff. For example, just right outside Orchard MRT is YSL, Dior and Chanel's boutiques.

After testing and you are ready to make the purchase, you can head down to Jasina for a much better price. (Jasina does have quite a few testers for you to try, such as CH Men but none of the more expensive brands e.g. Chanel, Dior)

Other than Jasina (City Hall), you can try Perfume Forever (Jurong Point), Perfume Bar (Chinatown), Dollars n Scents (Lucky Plaza).

/ For Versace Eros I believe you can find better prices in these places.

Cheers

I have always doubt the authenticity of perfume sold in mustafa, sasa, dollar &scent, those shop at lucky plaza/chinatown.. I feel that they are too good to be true, I only dare to buy from departmental store like tangs/taka or in airport.. I also heard that people buy back used perfume bottle which further disgust me.

How can I prove the authenticity of a perfume? Im afraid to get sub-standard stuff.. YSL L'HOMME cost me $115 at airport and people can get it for almost half the price outside, isnt it strange? either im being roberto and getting conned or missing out good deal

I think if you know how much it actually costs to produce a bottle of perfume you will be more disgusted :s13:

I never buy perfume from boutiques etc.

Why? This is my personal opinion, but i do not want to pay inflated prices to subsidize the shop rent / advertising / snobbish branded boutique employee's commission etc.

You think about this - if places like mustafa, lucky plaza really sell fake stuff, you think the branded names wouldn't have whacked them hard long ago?

At the same time, those brand name and 'people in the know' with vested interest will never come out and loudly confirm that mustafa etc are selling authentic items.
Why? Because it undercuts their inflated profits made from full 'recommended retail price'. :s22:

Power to the consumer pls. :s8:

anyone using l'eau kenzo pour homme?

I love it but sadly longevity is an issue, omg last max 1.5 hour for me. Projection like 1 hr only?

Any recommendation that is aquatic, fresh, clean like the above but longlasting and stronger projection?

I don't think I've ever seen this in stores I visit. You can try visiting their boutique at Ngee Ann City.

Alternatively, buy online from FragranceX, hassle-free. Takes about 2 weeks to arrive and you need to spend 69USD for free shipping.

If you really love it, buy a travel atomizer and refresh the fragrance every hour or so.

Alternatively, you can try:

Versace Man Eau Fraiche
Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme
Chanel Allure Homme Sport/ Versace Pour Homme (Smells similar)

Or the famed and well-liked Acqua di Gio/ ADG Essenza by Giorgio Armani.
