Which scent do you guys think would be good for my first purchase?

What's your use for it?

L'homme - Ultra pleasant smell, light projecting, very inoffensive. Good for school, office environment and casual stuff.

La Nuit - Seductive: flowery and powdery. Best used in night settings with ladies. Doesn't smell very professional i.e. serious/masculine so I wouldn't recommend using it in work.

Givenchy GO - Not sure about this.

D&G The One - Very versatile fragrance. Projection is not overpowering, scent is masculine, and pleasant with hints of ginger and lemon (smells abit like orange to me). Good for work, school (mature age), night out, casual stuff. Basically everything.

Bleu de Chanel - Very versatile fragrance.
Unmistakably masculine, with strong incense and grapefruit combination. Smells fresh and almost like an aquatic when just sprayed.(EDT only, doesn't get that with EDP). Great for work, school, dates. A scent that conveys authority and masculinity.

Your list is solid for sure. For me, I'd go with either

D&G The One
or
Bleu de Chanel

Versatile(THIS IS KEY), well-liked by masses.

Which is better? D&G the one or yves saint laurent la nuit?

Smell both of them yourself. Opinions are subjective at the end of the day.

The One is more versatile as it has a fruity scent and masculine undertone, suiting occasions of casual to serious settings.

La Nuit on the other hand smells more flirtatious and more metrosexual, more suitable for casual settings, such as night-outs and dates. (In my opinion.)

I'd use these for different occasions.
However, if I had to choose one, I would choose The One.

Chanel?

Go to departmental stores/ any fragrance stores and slowly find one that you like.

For starters, you can try these:

Dolce & Gabbana's The One
Christian Dior's Dior Homme Sport
Chanel's Bleu de Chanel
Chanel's Allure Homme Sport (Original/ Edition Blanche/ Eau Extreme)
Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Gio / Acqua di Gio Essenza
Versace Pour Homme - similar to Chanel Allure Homme Sport
Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey

Try Tangs.

Also can go to boutiques in ION Orchard. Tangs,Isetan are nearby too.

Otherwise, Perfume Bar at Chinatown's People's Park Complex.
They may not have testers available for all listed, especially Chanel/Dior but their prices are competitive.
Recommend you to make the purchase there after sampling it.

I found there's EDT and EDP, what are the differences between them?

Any guys know how much EDP Bleu de Chanel cost?

EDP has a higher concentration of perfume oil.
Whether it lasts longer than EDT is really based on individuals' skin chemistry.
So that means EDP may not last longer than EDT. Test it out to know it.

Bleu de Chanel EDT top notes presents a seemingly aquatic blast: very fresh and beautiful when just sprayed. Slowly, it dries down to a more mellow, more incense-y kind of scent.

EDP does not have that initial refreshing blast, smells more like the drydown of EDT.

Personally, would recommend purchasing the EDT.

I last purchased my EDT at $125, would expect EDP to be slightly harder to find and also a tad more expensive. If you can find tester bottles, even cheaper.

Try visiting Perfume Bar and Jasina.

By the way bro, i went to the boutique and tried EDT and EDP, EDP had a more pleasant fragrance on my skin and i got the EDP version. The allure homme sports one, next time might try getting that, it has pleasant fragrance too.

P/S: Any Chanel perfume in local DFS?

Grats on your purchase man! :D

Yes there should be ... but it won't be cheaper than local shops e.g. Perfume Bar.

How does the D&G the one compare to D&G Sport?

Sport smells a little more fresh due to the water notes involved.
Met with poor reception online, citing poor longevity and sillage.

Smell isn't similar (to me at least) and notes are different from the original, except for cardamom.

Doesn't smell as masculine or interesting as The One original to me.

Never tested it on my skin, but judging based on the smell alone I'd get The One.

Try it out yourself to know it ;)
