how do you guys choose perfume? I know different size need different perfume right? just wondering... for a normal slim guy, what perfume is preferred?

My approach is if I like it, I'll wear it. Simple.

There is no such thing as different body size different purfume....it all boils down to individual preferences

Start with frags that are affordable.If you can get something within your budget go for it but remember to test them out before putting down the money.

Stay away from perfumes with honey and fruity notes, they'll make you fat.

Today I tried:

Jo Malone Vanilla & Anise. Right off the bat, anise over-powered any vanilla there was, resulting in a spicy smell not unlike "feng you". Doesn't last well, by the time the vanilla notes started showing, the scent was fading

Surge Lutens Un Bois Vanille. Better than I remembered from my last testing but still way, wayyyyy too sweet. Doesn't have the type of vanilla note that I like like in Spiritueuse Double Vanille until ~3 hours into the wearing. Not enough to make me want a bottle

Anyway today tried Les Nombres d`Or Vanille from Mona di Orio. Not really what I expected as the vanilla was a secondary note.

It started off with mainly ruminess and wood notes. After a while it turned into rum-spicy along with smoky vanilla. It lasted quite long as well.

Was waiting for this sample to arrive as I saw online that some people preferred this over SDV. Think I will be getting SDV soon instead when I have saved up haha

No problem bro but if I'm really strap for cash I'll stick to decants.Can try a lot more till I find one worth getting a full bottle.
Even if so,I'll never pay full retail price.

Not advisable. Usually stores would want you to buy and not go there to test their fragrance for free unless you know the store owner very well and he/she is very OK with it.
