Today was a crazy day

Finally installed everything but surprisingly even the best laid plans...

First of all the radiator can fit but the hot swap bay metal rail is in the way so had to hammer it away

next the screws on the stock gpu cooler are fricking and i mean mother fricking hard to remove. nearly killed myself with the effort took around 4 hours

fittings and ports sometimes do leak so thats frustrating

next issue the stupid gpu could barely fit and i mean BARELY its touching the rad fins already.

Since the rad was already mounted i couldnt put the gpu in so i had to remove the rad and put in the gpu first then remount the rad frustrating!

tubing is a bitch to cut also

then my LED power cable spoilt and i couldnt boot my pc (due to ram not slot in fully)

so it was a damn tough day but everything's ok now

Some stuff came in today

I also had the LED strip fixed by a very good shop at SLS (Bytetron)

Unfortunately the included backplate screws dont work with the EK Block and so I will have to drop by a hardware shop tomorrow to get this sorted

Once this is all setup lemme try to shoot for 13-14k 3dmark firestrike with Classified Tool at 1.45v or higher. Im aiming to clock 1500mhz on core for my overclock with skynet bios rev4

The memory on this is hynix so I believe it will clock a fair bit on memory 8ghz?

Did some preliminary benching on this

It's a crazy mother beast I havnt finished pushing it and it was benching stable at 1400-1500mhz on water

I cant believe I wasted time on Asus and Palit when I could've gotten this

Today I had time to fiddle with overvolting and details

turns out at load at around 1400mhz core my GPU is consuming around 800w ALONE

I couldnt believe it too but my X850 and it's supposed to be able to take extended loads of 1000W

Looks like I need a bigger PSU....

or just save on overclocking... so this is why i keep getting shutoff during benches over 1450mhz core... it's not due to voltage alone but rather just too much damn power being drawn

anyone wanna take over a <1 week old X850 Seasonic 80plus gold?

for overvolting...

if you dont overvolt even 400w is fine for a normal 780 ti

with overvolts my gpu is drawing around 700w-800w ALONE

but it's running over 1400mhz

well,i not sure if wht i'm doing is considered overvolting..but if temps allow and the gains are substantial, i'll probably max out the volt limit bar in Trix....

the volt limit bar in AB isnt really overvolting...

You have to have a voltage unlocked card like the EVGA Classified Series and then flash a custom bios like skynet and then we're pushing voltages beyond 1.3 - 1.5v

but to be honest it's an exponential power limit skyrockets beyond a certain point. however the card is ripping in speed...

well at the start it is dangerous but there's really no other way to gain such power gains. Some people like Alhomme even build their own vbios

I tried but couldnt perfect my voltage table for optimum OC so flashed a skynet bios

I didn't build my own BIOS per se.

It's extracting the existing BIOS and re-writing it to have higher TDPs and re-mapping the voltage, boost and power tables. However all this comes with the downside of generating immense amounts of heat and power consumption.

Also not all cards are able to do overvolting. Not only you need a unlocked BIOS, you also need a programmable voltage controller on your card. In all over volting tools, AB or otherwise, you need the controller to listen to what you command. If not, you can only go as high as what the gfx card physically permits which is probably +50 to +100 on core based on my experience with locked cards like the GTX760.

If you're are a crazy overclocker like Yureak and myself, get a EVGA Classified card. They overclock like the mother of all overclocking cards.
