Yeah. I've been testing the note5 in the shop for 2 weeks and its so smooth and fast and ii didnt encounter any sleeping beauty issue at all. But i do agree my old nexus 5 still the smoothest phone i never own. I thought sammy finally trim down the TW first time in s6 and the review is so good and this note5 suppose to be better..... maybe im the one of the unlucky one or my expectations is too high but note5 is the flagship and best phone in the world, thats what sammy said. One thing i notice the phone model & firmware is different for the display model at the shop. Shop display one is n920x and the one they sell is n920I. Software bulild version is different also AOH02 and AOH06. Both is dated 18 August. Wondering why different? Anyone?

You been a great friend to the shop. Haha.

The n920x displayed in stores likely to be developer/demo sets. Older firmware could be due to poor maintenance of firmware update in the stores (if they were to update that's easily 20 odd sets on display).

Eh 1 time restart can be just a freak bug that you won't encounter again. Relac haha, somtimes cos of 1 issue, it makes us feel like the phone has tones of issues the moment we encounter a bug, which may or not not even be Samsung's fault :s13:

But also has the sleeping issue.just happened to me again.

Look like developer/demo set is more stable than the actual set? o_O. The firmware for the demo set actually is updated as its dated 18 August, same as the actual set costumer bought. Yup, some shops is still using outdated firmware....

If the shop take me as a good friend should just give me replacement of a problem free note5. Hehe.

Eh by the way, check this out. I went to see how impressive 6S is with battery life now and found this lol

After the iOS update, overnight my batt also dropped a lot. Previously on iOS 9.01 dropped like 2-3% , now drop 10+%...@_@

So looks like there are a lot of issues that people will never admit to having to others cos they spent a bomb on the phone :s13:

Hmm ... maybe the phone got problem bah .. on my iPad Mini 3 on iOS 9.0.1 ... the battery life is so much better ... 5 hours continuous playing of Clash of Dawn ... 100% drop to 63% ^^

When the device is connected to a power supply or charging, it would not have the zzzzzz problem. Coz during charging, the device will not zzzz fully. That is how the kernel is written. So of coz the demo set will have no zzzzzz problem.

These phones are running retail mode. I saw some.of your posts earlier on restart and hanging issue etc, I think these are random errors which all devices will have. It's a matter if you encounter them in their lifetime.

Anyway, who on earth test an electronic device for 2 weeks? You think buy car meh? :D

Switched to 3g/2g only mode while I slept. Battery drain reduced significantly. Previously was about 30%, now is only 7-8% with a few msg on WhatsApp. Guess the poor signal affects a lot. Will try flight mode tonight.

Thanks for replied. But your sharing and explanation doesnt help anything. ;)

Testing a device for 2 weeks is based on individual preferences. I think the shop is more than welcome for the customer to test out their product before purchase. Its not cheap and maybe im not rich as you. Hehe :p

How sure are you that the shop welcomes you? Anyway, I'm not arguing about the personal preference here, in fact there is no basis for an argument..

Hi fatthumb,

can share you root using which custom kernel? (arter97, nobel, skyhigh). and which firmware you were on when rooting? (AOH6?)

Thanks in advanced.
Not sure which firmware I am on before rooting as I forgot to check but basic steps are:
1. Use Odin PC to flash recovery (I used Phil recovery from arter xda thread).
2. I got into boot loop after flashing custom recovery.
3. Use Odin to flash kernel (used SpaceX kernel v0.1).
4. Managed to boot back to stock OS now rooted and without warranty.
5. Currently on dr.ketan rom and still with SpaceX kernel.

After rooting we can also use T-mobile rom from what one bro share few pages back.
