Jus realise auto turn on and off 4g needs root access lol

I think it never used to. Last time widget can be used to turn on/off 4G then suddenly i think Gingerbread onwards, it can't be done anymore. Was quite sad lol but i wonder what's the reason.

Ya turning on and data need root. Switching from 3g and 4g also but the battery saving between 3g and 4g is very little in my test. Switching to 2g caused sms to delay or not receiving

Airplane mode requires root access too.

Lots of automation apps weren't able to do that without root access since kitkat.

I don't use fb so can't give you definite answer but you should check out fb settings to see if it has option to disable notifications like that.. if all else false, you can go to settings->notification and disable notification for fb.. this is a global notification so if disabled, you will not get any notification from fb at all

If the reasons to upgrade to s7e are better battery life and ip68. Then you will be happy that s7e has improved on battery life quite a bit compared to n5. Although I nvr really tested ip68 on my s7e but you get plenty of videos on YouTube testing it. On top of that, you get external SD card support which maybe a key feature to many people.

Does tasker managed to switch ring profile even if the the phone is locked? Automate cannot switch profile once the phone is locked since mm update.

Not sure as I'm running tasker on my rooted N6P but automagic on my S7e.. However, I did notice location trigger sometimes doesnt work until phone screen is ON.. I wont be surprise if ring profile does the same thing as I'm sure this has something to do with MM security or doze feature but havent seen any workaround yet..
Network base location boundary is very wide compared to cell tower triggers so it is also hard to test..

People just cross posts everything and anything on both of those threads.. There are small quirks here and there but I wouldnt call them show stopper.. There are a lot more samsung customers, obviously bound to get more complaints

Bro, i did some testing on automate and macro droid on location based ringer settings. The phone must be unlocked before the ringer mode can be switched. Putting these apps on apps not optimized list doesn't allows the app to do what they intended. I think the lock screen that prevents any apps from changing anything once the phone is locked.

Go into FB swipe sideways to the last tab and scroll to the bottom, there's settings inside that can disable notifications.

Use dark/black based theme, turn down your screen brightness. Install GSam battery monitor and see which apps are using most of your battery.. Then you can decide what to do next

I'm already using super dark theme lol. brightness is at auto and set at minimum.

Installed GSam and says my Android system and Kernel using the most power, which means i won't know exactly what is eating it but i think it's the backend services of all the apps that make use of these 2 that drains the battery. Actually it has been like this since my S2 time, no way of telling cos these 2 are the highest when i don't turn on my screen much.

Shows i'm the one they call true Android user :s13::s13:

Yeah on s7e is also the same but battery life is still good.
Looking at the graphs, did u see anything abnormal? Temperature, rate of change, others (gps active?) and cpu.
