I'm not using note 5 but I believe the latest update should be free from major bugs. If you encounter a problem, either wipe cache or reset the phone. This strategy has always been recommended though Samsung didn't exactly say it.

Sorry, I mean the update package 303.31mb, is it recommended or latest? I saw some feedback in earlier posts that they had issues after the update.

Do you have any info about Note5 battery replacement after warranty period. How much do we need to pay for replacement.

Is anyone here using or have come across an ultra-thin case with built-in ring? :)

I bought a case with the built-in ring at a pasar malam, but the case is too bulky.

Got new ota update 37.16MB

see only the Baseband got updated, security patch level still no change at October 1, 2016.

How come this update never up the security to fix all those vulnerabilities? http://security.samsungmobile.com/smrupdate.html

A bit worried cos recently am a victim of CC fraud. Now got phobia using Samsung Pay and bank apps.
Samsung shld be more prompt in releasing to us those monthly security patches if they're truly serious about users security!

You are referring to android security patch. Knox has a separate security policy which updates itself and Samsung pay will not run if your policy is obsolete.

Moreover, Samsung pay involves tokenisation and other security mechanism which will only work when the bank authorises. Basically both sides must approve before a transaction can proceed.

Your cc fraud will be unlikely due to Samsung pay..

Never know what's gonna happen. Best is to register a debit card account to a bank account that you only use debit card payment for then top up whenever you wanna do online or mobile transaction :s13:

Thanks for replying, most of us knows how it works that's why we use it.

NO, I am referring to SAMSUNG android security patch. Maybe I'm oversensitive here, without the 'SAMSUNG' in front is like downplaying Samsung's responsibility to provide users with security patches.

The monthly (SMR) patches from Samsung includes vulnerabilities from both Google and Samsung.

think nowadays 64gb also not enough.

I have to keep my phone free from apps, cannot install games etc. too many video and photos~

4K videos is the culprit haha. Everytime i go out record a few 4K videos 2-3gb taken up. My Note 5 doesn't even have games. Good thing nowadays all base model is 64gb and most likely will have microSD.

Note 5 is a pretty good phone man. If not for capacity, it's like not really necessary to upgrade.

Eh i just realize i'm Supremacy member. Thought i was Master just not too long ago only. Yay

I have 100GB google storage lol. My phone has no 4K videos and photos are just probably the last 20 latest only and i still have 3.8gb left on my phone :p I look at my apps size all add together like not even 15gb so wtf did all that space go to? haha.
