Yeah, it has to be on the pad to charge

It also takes twice as long to charge compared to using cable.. my as well use cable

Anymore feedback on battery life, esp comparing SOT to be more fair as everyone has difference apps running in standby.

The first 2 or 3 days usually battery life all round is terrible for any Android phone as Google is still syncing, apps installing and updating and syncing etc.

Usually stabilises after 2 to 3 days.. So perhaps everyone can give feedback again?

Super gian to jump back to Note from Z3+ as I bei tahan the camera loading speed on my Sony already hahaha.. Slower than my Xiaomi Mi4i!!

ya was amazed at the battery life then ! really is no need to charge ONE WHOLE DAY, cos i dont play games. only social network and msging . now cant even last 8hrs liao lol.

the thing is... at the store there were 2 others that applied the same protectors for 2 other note 5 and its only my set with the bubble halo.

the store owner then told me that my set has a curvier screen and i was like.... really.......?

i just cannot accept it. think i want to go back and ask if there's anything that he can do about it. it costed me a good $25 for the SP alone. -_-

the production line for such products are tuned to have vvvvvvv little leeway for error man.

I agree your sp looks really bad, but I agree with the store owner that it is more likely due to your curvier 2.5D screen than the sp itself. I learnt from my note 4 days that not all Samsung screens are alike!

ya i felt like a fool after i left the store cos i allow myself to accept such trash explanation. and its not a cheap sp for me since i usually order from qoo10. cheaper and serves me equally well. urgh! tmr i will go and say.

I used a note 4 previously and it supported qualcomm quick charge 2.0 and worked with any non-samsung qc 2.0 charger fine

This was probably because note 4 was using sd805 processor, which officially supports qc 2.0

Now that Samsung has changed to their own exynos processors on the s6 and note 5. Can it still support qc 2.0 at the same charging speeds?

I've heard u need to use the note 5 original charger and cable to get fastest charging speed

Is this true? Can anyone verify u get same charging speed on note 5 with a 3rd party qc 2.0 charger?

Samsung Fast Charge solution is no different than Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0. Samsung uses its own Exynos chipset for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge so you'd reckon they didn't have the luxury of relying on Qualcomm's ready-made solution that comes with Snapdragon processors. Or did they?

After some research we found out that Qualcomm is actually offering their Quick Charge 2.0 technology to third-party OEMs royalty free. All they have to do is integrate the extra Power management integrated circuit into their designs.

Very likely they will work just as well.
