When the device is connected to a power supply or charging, it would not have the zzzzzz problem. Coz during charging, the device will not zzzz fully. That is how the kernel is written. So of coz the demo set will have no zzzzzz problem.

Eh can root then unroot or not? But root will screw up the payment thing right?

Root = trip knox 0x0 = no samsung pay & no warranty. If you are not sure better stay clear. I dont think there is any method to restore knox once it trip. Root access can be easily removed (by flashing unrooted stock firmware) but it will never undo tripped knox.

Actually rooting wise more or less similar process. When I rooted my note 3 last time also like this. Ofc cant compare with one click root tool la. Haha. But worse rooting experience i ever had was with my HTC Legend. Had to go through adb line by line, luckily so far never brick my phones

Erica loves the camera...if Erica approves, then the camera is top notch! Mind you, she is very critical and analytical about her phones.
If a hard-to-please person is satisfied, then this means the camera on Note 5 is top grade among the phones.

If a hard-to-please person is satisfied, then this means the camera on Note 5 is top grade among the phones.

There's no doubting Samsung photo quality, it's the overall experience that sucks back with Note 3. But since Galaxy S5, it has more or less been solved.

My favourite is Marques Brownlee though but yeah 2 of them are my go to for reviews, very detailed reviewers and their video camera and mic quality are really solid. I also like Unbox Therapy haha. Yeah, she got married 2 days ago.

And yes, note 5 camera is damn awesome. I'm glad i got the 64gb so i won't worry too much about memory left. But still, i hope samsung is able to address the sleeping beauty.. deep sleep needs to be looked at.

I think Samsung is clueless, else why would it be happening in all their previous phones too even though it was rare. Right now i think our best bet is Marshmallow but that won't come until probably 3 months from now. According to some website i read, it will be before 2016 and knowing Samsung, its probably Dec

I can more or less confirm that poor signal strength is causing the phone to drain battery. I get very poor signal strength (0 to 1 bar) in my room even on 3G, as you can see from the screenshot. Drained the battery from 100% to 58% within 5 and a half hours, without receiving any whatsapp or sms.

The steps I took to remedy my problem were to change the network to 2G (2-3 bars signal strength) and at the same time disable VoLTE calls (Not sure if disabling VoLTE helps but I don't need it anyway)

Now I'm getting like 3-4% battery drain overnight (5-6 hrs) when I sleep.

To disable VoLTE Calls: Go to 'Phone' --> 'More' --> 'Settings' --> 'Outgoing voice call settings'

I was thinking to flash either arter97 or spaceX and root my note 5 as I am randomly having lag issue when I wake the phone.

Not sure which firmware I am on before rooting as I forgot to check but basic steps are:
1. Use Odin PC to flash recovery (I used Phil recovery from arter xda thread).
2. I got into boot loop after flashing custom recovery.
3. Use Odin to flash kernel (used SpaceX kernel v0.1).
4. Managed to boot back to stock OS now rooted and without warranty.
5. Currently on dr.ketan rom and still with SpaceX kernel.

After rooting we can also use T-mobile rom from what one bro share few pages back.

Lag/deep sleep issue has generally been fixed with any custom kernel. However I experienced reboot during call issue with spaceX kernel and since ytd night switched to latest version of skyhigh for 920I variant. So far so good!

is it not normal when my battery level dropped from full to 75% when the phone is like, totally off...? this morning just happened, charged to 100% then offed it around 2am, 7am on the phone to find out it fell to 75%... phone on standby, phone in flight mode, phone switched off all kenna same amount of drain
