It is plastic lens with full titanium frame by the way, it is called MR-8 lens.

You got to leave them a message when you order it, usually I leave it in the comment area of the order page.

The prescription will look something like this below.

右眼 (SPH)近视 -200度，(CYL)散光 -50度，(AXIS)散光轴位是 105度。
左眼 (SPH)近视 -100度，(CYL)散光 -150度，(AXIS)散光轴位是 85度。
(PD)瞳距是 70mm。

In the url, I sic above, you can specify the color of your frame depending on which version you choose, I chose the business type rather than the casual type, the casual type has different frame design and lens design. You also can choose between gradual color lens or like those transistion lens type. More or less still the same price.

I used 4px for shipping, but the weight usually around 300g, so do include it in with some other products, anyway after order and payment, it will take about 4 days to finish making the specs, then it will take about 2 to 3 days for them to ship to 4px warehouse as they are not in Guangzhou.

But price pretty good, I checked out other sellers, they usually will sell the frame at around the same price I order my specs, and they charge a higher price to pair with the lens.

So far perfect fit and comfort for both specs I made with them, of course the prescription you give them got to be correct for good fitting, especially the PD which is pupil distance to determine how far apart your eyes are.

Just spent over $1000 on my new progressive lens, like to share my experience below:

Progressive lens requires intricate technical expertise to achieve the best possible natural vision. Natural vision as in not having to turn your head but only your eye for the peripheral objects. The field of view may improve as much as 40% for a high end progressive lens. High end progressive lens also give you higher definition of view like HD TV through smaller graduation of diopter by using 'freeform' method of fabrication instead of the conventional 'surface' method. My $700 lens is the entry level of high end lens. The best may be in the order of $1200.

My 1st pair of progressive lens was only $200 with frame. And you got what you paid.

When shopping for lens, ask how much discount from the catalog's list price, I visited 4 shop before getting 25% off. Shop's frame usually has no list price, some shop will improve their profit margin through inflated frame's pricing. I buy frame on-line.

For best optical clarity, glass lens is superior and they are also most scratch resistance. Polycarbonate is the worst. Any coating on glass lens also last longer when compared to CR-39® and Polycarbonate lens. In the marketplace, glass lens with varieties are extremely limited as manufacturers are investing their research on the CR & Poly lens. Shop spontaneously market what is available and not what is best for you. Popular Photochromic lens like Transition® by Essilor and PhotoFusion® by Zeiss is not available on glass lens. For me, the lesser performance (in terms of opacity) Photo Brown Extra® available on glass lens sufficed as it still effectively eliminate glare from the Sun. The overwhelming advantage is the coating is more lasting. However, if you are near/farsighted handicap changes bi-annually, the advantage is non-existence, I only suffered from presbyopia or 'Luohua'. Just need a further reading distance as my 'Luohua' advances.

My Photochromic coating PBX has a slight tint indoor but the effect is uniform. I adopt it as a fashion statement. The same is not true for some coating that cut out 'blue light' from our electronic products. They appeared as blue colored 'scratches' under bright light reflection on the lens. Caveat Emptor.

As glass lens is heavier it is important to invest on a good frame (Titanium material) with good fit to negate the extra weight.

Trivex® lens is also an alternative to glass lens for optical clarity and they are also Polymer liked CR/Poly.

You can't say that. Taobao is ok to buy something in a lower price tag.

If u r getting a spec that cost $500- $1k+... u will still refer to get it from a brick and mortar shop. To try on and see which suit u better.

But nevertheless, such completion is always good for thr consumer.

You heard of MR-8 lens??

That is what they used on my specs. But then for less than $70 that I paid for a full Titanium Frame with lens... no complaints from me.

Dun $300-$400. Spivvy $700+. Japonism $800+ can be up to $1k+. I have all 3 brands.

Hey guys, I have a pair of Mikli Starck Biozero and the Hoya lens have very degraded coating now.

The shop I went to is no longer there and a few other shops said they could not change the lens for me as they do not handle the brand.

Any recommendations here?
