Seems fine! Considering the rrp of the lenses. You chose a comfy frame too?

Just made a new specs after 5 years with crizal uv 1.74 lens cost $530

Degree 950/800
Astig 200/150

Is it overprice or consider ok? Not really sure Since I haven't change a specs close to 5 years..

Digital lenses have addition up Til +1.25 while eyezen is up to +0.80. Thus if you are an early presbyope or even planning to wear progressives, digital might suit you better due to the extra choices you have for the reading add. But if it's just for relaxation of your eye muscles and you are between 20s-early 30s. You can consider doing eyezen also(price-wise)😅. Digital is more expensive. But the premium you are paying for if you choose zeiss is of course the duravision coating and clarity of the lenses(subjective between different individuals too).
Hope this helps!

does anyone have any feedback on Zeiss Digital Lens vs Crizal Eyezen? Wonder if Zeiss Digital Lens is worth the premium

Hey there, for the first part, yes those white spots highly likely is your multicoating that has peeled. However I seen cases of individuals many years but coating not peeling much thus, thus there could be other factors affecting it too! But usually it last for 2-3 years on average..

500 for zeiss is more than enough but of course depending on your degree. And the type of frame you will choose! Digital lenses/eyezen/lenses that are antifatigue might help. E.g. Trueform nulux active, Shamir relax, zeiss energize me. Note that these Brand’s I mentioned are the more known ones, there are of course other labs with similar lens design(anti fatigue) but cheaper. But quality of course....😅

Not easy to find frames like mykita/Lindberg so I believe maybe invest in one? Haha then can last you Long!

Hope this helps!

Hi gurus, my current pair of spectacles are about 4 years old and some spots are appearing which cannot be wiped away. I think the coating must be wearing off. How long do the coating usually last for? I only wash my specs with tap water and wipe them with the microfiber cloth provided.

I am now looking for a new pair of specs. My current lenses are from Crizal and I would like to change brands to see if there's a difference. With a budget of $500 would it be possible to get something like Zeiss? I don't wear contact lenses and do office work. Would the digital lenses be more suitable for me? For the frame I am looking at something like Alexander from Mykita but it is out of budget for me. Would there be cheaper brands with a similar look?

Prescription from 4 years ago is <-5.00 SPH , CYL -1.00 and AXIS at 160 for both eyes.

Thanks in advance!

Hello, does anyone know what is the average cost of a pair of specs if I purchase it in JB? Is it worth it to purchase it across the border or is it better to buy it here? Looking to save a bit of money... Hahaha

Thanks for your inputs bro! I went ahead and got the Zeiss Digital Lenses for 400 and a fairly cheap frame for 90 to fit my budget. Wanted to try try the Zeiss brand. Is the lens price reasonable?

Haha probably won't regret your choice. Depending on what index you got for your lens. But sounds pretty reasonable. I believe a 1.6?

Hello, recently I noticed 3mm dents on both sides of my head, below the temple, 20cm behind my eyes, while wearing spectacles; should i be worried, and can i do anything for it?

The spectacle shop that sold me this pair simply told me this frame is already spring-loaded, and that they can't do anything else about it as the frame widths are fixed, then recommended me to try contact lens or lasik instead.

Hi, I am assisting someone who is currently not in town to survey which of our local optical carries wide range of Mykita frame. Not looking for round frame. Or any expert can share which brand has very light frame? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Will wearing a spec with wrong bridge size cause pain around the eyebrow region? I have a wife and high nose bridge. Looking for rectangular shape specs. What are the types should I worry about? Thanks.

Quoted 230 for blu-ray protection lens plus frame.

1.6 index lens
600 degree 75 Astigma L
550 degree 275 Astigma R

Did I get a good deal or did I become a carrot? :s13: :s13:
