Actually this is not really good for you in long term as you are relying on one eye to do most of the heavy lifting(seeing). Might have more eye strain and all.
You can consider looking at frames like Form-max where it can bend/fold? into a thin 2-3cm thick frame? Take note that transitions doesnt really change in the car due to the UV protection your car windscreen has.

Bro, my eye got long history. My left eye underwent retina detachment + cataract thus the 200 deg. I read got new transition lens call drivewear which will tint even if in car.

Form-max looks good. Do you know where I can get them in sgp. I Google only jb shop show up. Or any other brands like form-max?

The cheapest comes in $750 whilst the second from top is $950. Both plus $50 for the blue coating.

Can you advise if this is standard Zeiss pricing in SG and should I expect not much discount given markups-to-overheads means there's very little leeway for the store? For the sake of a few % versus walking elsewhere I mean.

I didn't ask about the top of the range one but the chap said the lens is fully customised so is expensive.
Any idea how much more I should expect to pay over the second most expensive one?
Lastly, apart from cost, should this top of the range customisation be way superior based on your past customer feedback? Thx!

Long sightedness in some cases will cause ur short sightedness to improves slightly.
Whatever that is happening to you now is the result of presbyopia/laohua.
Probably you need to switch to a progressive lens. Its better to start early so as to have better adaptation or else when your reading power increases further, adaptation will be harder as you will have the common complains of giddy, dizzy, floating sensation.

Hi gangsterkia, if I tired out easily, feel nausea and frequently need to remove my spec and put on again or slid it up.......the problem is with my frame or lenses?

progressive+transition lens usually expensive? Mine is 650/700 and of late have been seeing double vision when trying to read. Either i have to take off my glasses and put it closely to my eyes to read or adjust the viewing distance.

Hey! Let's say ruling out underlying eye issues, it seems likely that your reading power has increased, or else the adjustment is abit off thus you are not looking through the correct area(reading area) thus needing to push it up to get back in focus and this constant shifting caused a headache! Maybe you can ask your optical shop staff to adjust the nosepads closer to one another thus increasing the grip and tightness!

I honestly believe your degree and all u can just go with 2/3rd best lens can alr. dont need highest for sure. Different shop gives different discount like what i always mention, so sometimes certain customers will just be fine with lesser discount as they are comfortable with the optician/optometrist service.
That said, of course if you want the clearest view then get individual 2 but imho, precision superb or precision plus/Asiana is good enough. But i need to know the answer to the first qns first!

I was a bit silly by not asking if they had alternative brands.

May I ask, in terms of performance for wearers, are the Individual 2 really worthy for the level of customisation (eg versus the 2nd/3rd best lens)? And for these users do they need to have their frames readjusted periodically so the lenses sit in their optimal position throughout their lifespan? I know with my frames these generally alter in fit over time. But investment for my eyes can be a priority given age changes etc.

Is it confirmed astig 500 and myopia 250? just wanted to make sure first and not the other way round?

If astig 500, you probably have to RX your lenses which means customized so that it can hold the 500 astig.
Do you have any idea what brand of lens was quoted for you?

If you ask me, i would say Zeiss, Hoya or maybe shamir would be good for you! Currently if i'm not wrong, shamir is the only one that can do up til -9.00 degree of astig!

hmm... If you are worried about the constant adjustment and all, ID2 would be a better choice as the distortions at the sides are really minimal so sometimes even when my customers comes in with obvious tilt in the glasses, those with the high end hoya/zeiss lenses would still find it bearable just that they still want the frame straightened. BUT of course if we are more careful sometimes, taking out specs with 2 hands instead of 1, sometimes these tugging action when you pull out with 1 hand can cause the frame over time to be out of alignment. If it can be minimized then i say Precision superb or even precision plus is fine!

650 ringgit... lets say convert /3 it would be around 200+? Iirc the new exchange rate is 2.9+++? I say thats a really crazy price(in a good way). But make sure its really zeiss lens when its done.

Yup it is zeiss duravision blueprotect , the exchange rate is 3, so paid around 217sgd For the frame plus lens. Is the price crazily good? How much will it cost back in Singapore ?

Probably close to 350-400? Depending on what kind of frame you chose too.. but it's a ridiculously good price. Just make sure can see the zeiss engraving. Good buy man.
